Give it time mate, most people spend a long time writing, learning, reading, helping others, giving away tunes for free, writing, giving more tunes away for free, getting fairly alright at writing long before they start making a shred of cash from their stuff

very true that.. you could make hundreds of tunes or patches or sounds before you ever see any serious money!!!
the music industry doesnt make every overnight producer rich!!
patience is vital in this game as is rejection and disapointment, no top producer got to the standard they're at over night!!!!

edit:
I just checked out ur tracks real quick, they are def not as bad as some people are making them seem. We actually rocked out a bit over here haha

if there are ever free patches that would b sick
but i dont think anyone here would want to buy patches seems a little trashy

So you resurrected a thread in which you got slammed in order to shamelessly self promote some 'free 320'?

You really are painfully arrogant aren't you?

To be fair on the guy, if I was any good at what I do I'd be doing the exact same thing. Personally, if I were to buy things like this, which I don't, but if I did, I'd much prefer to buy of somebody like this guy rather than a big faceless company. Rather support the little guy. Haven't checked his stuff but I'm sure it's not as bad as everyone's making out, I'm sure it would be of some use to people just starting out, buy the pack, backwards engineer it...etc.

On another point, you're all slamming him for being arrogant, but if he came on and was modest and insecure about what he's selling he'd have been laughed into the ground and slammed as an amateur and it would have been pointless. I'm sure there's a happy medium, but no matter what way you try to sell this thing you're gonna get hit by a wave of a shit from people, so really in selling it I think he's chosen the lesser of the evils in coming across a little arrogant.

And on a final note, it strikes me as a bit of a double standard to say "you're not supporting the community by selling your patches here"... I fail to see how you're supporting the community by not buying products made by the little guy, your fellow producer who's trying to make ends meet the same way you are, by doing what he loves, even if it's really fucking hard to make it work. Many of us have or will eventually try to promote our tunes, that are up for sale, and of all the places we could promote our tunes, here is probably going to be our first port of call because of the community that's supposedly built around supporting each other here. I see no difference between us promoting our tunes here and what this guy is doing. It's just two different ways of trying to make a bit of money doing what we love.

He's just put a product in front of you - nobody's saying you have to buy it, if you don't like it then don't buy it, no need to get all anal and put your panties in a twist over it.

didn't read most of this, but no offense, you are one the biggest shameless self-promoters on the forum. That doesn't negate a lot of the great things you have to offer here on the forum and your presence is great, but thought it should be said.

Maaaan I made a cranky post a year back :D

Mix is still off though. Although tunage is admittedly better. You really should layer the heavy wobble with some other sound, it sounds too hollow. Quieter parts sound more full all over the spectrum, although not much innovation is going on. Quieter parts are nicely produced though...

^^ there, a review to make up for the cranky snark from a year back.
