Um, so far there've been almost twice as many votes as song submissions - and they're unanimously voting for 2 weeks.
I'll let the poll run until tomorrow, but it looks like you 1 week folk are in for a 2 week deadline...

two weeks is better for everyone - it gives people a chance to finish their tracks and for people who have already finsihed, they can go back and improve them

And Gorbek, just to clarify - was your kick drum problem more of an issue with 'presence' in the mix or the actual sound/tone of the kick itself?

I had to put the kick through a waveshaper to give it a bit of umph, but it still didn't have that much presence and shine through. Ah well.

It's probably typical to say "really diverse set of songs, great job guys!" but dammit - it's true. Very different approaches with this one, good job all contestants so far. Again, 0mShant1 & JahStyle's atmospheric samples really got put to good use.
Now let's see wot the rest o' you got.
7/7/09 EDIT: 7 entries. Let's get at least 3-5 more!

A little bit of both, I really eq'ed/compressed the crap out of the version I sent you, but never settled right... Its hard finding the balance between the bass and kick
Either way, I threw down the blockfish vst, it seemed to give me a bit more boost on the kick, making me happier

thanks...

Affirmative:
JULY 14TH - MIDNIGHT PACIFIC STANDARD TIME = DEADLINE.
7 tracks in so far. Should we expect 19 more on the morning of the 14th?

I reckon
Might be a good idea to change the due-in-date on the first page Mr. Alpha

It's looking like we could've ended it on the 7th: no new submissions for almost a week... seven entries at present.
I know all you jokers are gonna wait until 5 minutes past deadline and try and rush 'em in, right?
C'mon folks! Git 'er done!

No offense bro, but I think that's a cop-out.
Plenty of bangin' tracks have been made from shite samples here in the past... and let's not forget all the old skool classics made on 12 bit samplers.
