All in all I think the quality control for the "future garage" thing has been poor up until now.

L2S and Night Audio are really paving the way, giving the more "out there" stuff a shot alongside the catchy

my picks are..

Sully, Brackles, Shortstuff, Hot City (not 2step, more speedy g!), Project Bassline, Kingthing, Duncan Powell, Dawntreader (if only you lot could hear all the beats he doesnt show anyone..)

a lot of the best stuff of this crosses over with the rawer side of funky, which I am extremely happy about

I'd like to add myself and the rest of the folks in the Soul Motive stable (and big ups to Ben and Forsaken for keeping us in such fresh hay and nice saddles)

Break your heart was one of the best 2step tunes last year tbh.

Seems like I miss out on a lot just because I prefer to buy vinyl :(

Surprised only one person has mentioned Frijsfo Beats in this thread, maybe it's just because people can't spell it

Whistla.

Psychedelic stuff (where did the psychedelic garage term went? i liked that :) without doing it in too obvious way. Psychedelicness in his stuff is more made with samples than synths. I like those big wall of synth noises too. Sounds like he's made them with VST (or whatever) and then recorded them for sample usage?

Also love how he's not ashamed to make funny tracks, when i got a feeling that this whole 'future garage' thing is more geeky producers making tastefull swing beats :)
