just started uni in leeds. i've heard good things about the west indian centre. well up for tonight but i didn't realise you could buy tickets before cause the dmz in london is always on the door only.
does anyone know if there are tickets on the door?

That's my plan for the night! Don't know whether I wanna see Cyrus or Ramadanman & Ben UFO, probs the hessle gang tbh, same with Goth Trad and ANT TC1 just gonna play it by ear (literally)

Also why does every new dubstep night book Sparra Dubs and Exodus - They're good but they're residents at Exodus... why not book different people?

i think its about supporting the local scene and getting local dj's involved bro
sometimes its cheaper and easier for promoters to book local based producers and dj's on their first nights and then progress to massive headliners so they dont lose as much money if it goes bad.

leeds is seeing a lot of nights starting and not all of them will do well, im happy to play my dubs in leeds for a twix and cup of tea if it means supporting the scene.

TBH that bass junkies night looks wikid and the line up and concept are ace, and both you and simon are good DJs! Obviously you play where your booked - just thought maybe one of you two and another big leeds dj might make the night stand out more! Any way big up your self - wikid set at exodus in april even if the room was dead!

Big up on that night though if I lived in leeds i'd be well up for it as a midweek thing!

Yeah you can get tickets on the door mate but it's a couple quid extra*, get down early to avoid queues though

i think the concept mikey has for get deeper is getting dj's down on rotation and then building up to guests in the future, ruckspin is an immense dj also is signus and jera obv not to mention mention mikey himself

its a pretty homegrown thing and its not about the profit that why we all play for free,what else is there to do on a tuesday night? lol

your not an idiot its fair point,let some more leeds talent come through by all means but you would be surprised at the number of people not willing to step out of their bedrooms into the clubs.

im doing a radio show now on frequency which has a big guest or 2 every fortnight aswell as a local newcomer dj or producer, if you know anyone worth pushing then get in touch brother.
