Thanks guys. Long-time lurker. I made a few posts a couple of years ago in an attempt to get more involved, but the board software had that 'incident' and my posts - which I put an inordinate amount of thought into - got eaten. Which kinda deterred me a bit. Well, that and the things I was bitching about just now. Hehe.

yeah, but trap is a genre distinct to dubstep right?? I mean, I like the odd trap track here and there, but hearing a shitload of trap tracks in what is ostensibly meant to be a dubstep set annoys the fuck out of me. Borgore apparently did that at Bestival this year; makes me glad I was too wasted to find the Roller Disco and just caught the end of Nero's set in the Big Top, as well as seeing Skream and Benga do the last set - which while amazing was ruined by being incredibly quiet compared to the earth-shaking volume levels that Nero enjoyed, and an incredibly fat track near the end being dropped, with the HP filter on for the entire running time... *facepalm* - that was a pretty sad moment ha.

OT: Bestival was seriously amazing this year though, I particularly enjoyed Gemini's set and Flux P on the main stage - I was worried he'd be all Bass Cannon-y but he dropped some real nasty shiz I'm still dying to know what most of it was

Yup, Too much trap is crap' Well that's just IMO. I'm a really unbias person with music too, I love all across the border line. Sounds like you had quite the time ;-)

Also, kode9 still made some awesome stuff back then, I really hope he takes a step back into what's good to him rather than the hype. Though I understand people have to keep their image sometimes.

Lots of people have said this but when Toasty stoped making tunes. The guy was on another level

Have to agree with this somewhat.
Not to say he isn't feeling the tunes cos he may well be.
I prefer it when DJs have a vision they never waver from, just a natural course of progression, but each to their own.

The proportion of Toasty tracks that are essential is ridiculous. Type his name into google and ball your eyes out at the fact he's not making this stuff any more.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

they were pricey enough a couple of years ago, now the standard price seems to have doubled
