Actually, they were originally a bit harder on smoking inside. For the first couple, the bouncers used to walk around and snub out anything they saw. Then they relaxed a lot more. Apart from the night of the crackdown across London when they were understandably militant about it. Oh and also kinda on the BBC night.

Haven't seen them tell anyone off for smoking apart from those nights. Maybe they just rather retain their hearing than come right up against the stacks though.
