My PC has officially died
Couldn't even turn it on this morning.
Which makes me think it is the 3 week old PSU.
Which is annoying but at least it's under warranty.
Going to swop it out for my old psu and see if the problem persists.

you could also jump the green wire with the black wire by jamming a paperclip into the connector and then plugging into the wall and seeing if it starts

Sux, something to keep in mind, that comp is a system, so even if the new psu is bad, it may be another component that is causing a problem and the psu dying is a manifestation of the underlying problem. Systems can be a bitch.

i killed two PSUs within 2 months until i figured out it was the smoke that killed them (and it was summer too)

It is 30°C at the moment with massive humidity.
But the system itself stays fairly cool.
Loads of fans, big open case, etc.

I don't smoke in the room at all.
Never have.
