Yes its probably for a good cause that means something to them. But why the fuck am I going to give you a fiver for walking round a park for an hour in a stupid outfit?? Id rather just give you a fiver to not have to sit through your endless fb photos and 'congratulations' from other sad people who think walking for an hour for charity is something special. I WALK FOR AN HOUR A DAY TO AND FROM WORK...........I DONT ASK PEOPLE TO SPONSOR ME!!

Marathons/Half marathons etc are acceptable. That takes some effort, and training and planning etc. I'll sponsor you guys. But I could wake up one morning and do a race for life in my slippers...........with a morning glory on the go.

the concept of raising money for something by getting people to pay you off for doing something that's basically pointless and has nothing to do with the thing you're raising money for has never made sense to me. i swear i'm missing something. like... swim the english channel if you want but what does that have to do with child poverty? o_O
