no imo he was right... you have to be able to distinguish between all the s sounds in the world and calling z the same as see, sea, c, si or sie is just dumb.
look at arsenal goalie wojciech szczesny for example ...
they even have a horizontal line/bar on their 7 (so it looks more like a reversed f) to distinguish it from a Z in handwriting, because the z is their jam

You can easily differentiate Z from C if you say zee or see

with a lisp

?
I know there's a charged 'ts' sound ... but imagine throwing a nice schz or scz combo somewhere else in the word..
i mean its just a more logical distinction that should have manifested itself better and now it's sort of interchangeable with an S in general
I dont know... I do think there's a purpose to having the sound of a letter try to mirror the sound it makes
in french for example its stupid.. a Y is pronounced igrack even though it still is a vowel used like the I in most cases

such a greecy letter
oh and i forgot to mention why its
'important' ... i mean it makes sence if the languages in as far as they can share alphabets and the same function of the letters... so the languages can meet... and when they have the etymological history in common ... it makes sence to uphold those distinctions / functions
god im boring sometimes sorry

ha! you triggered my memmory
we should have a thread where we post tracks we've listened to more than say 50 times... i think it would show some weird tendencies (hold some unknown truths)
or maybe it has to be secret so I don't have to own up to alice deejay and d-devils

... lol

the only stuff I've listened to more than 50 times are mixes and Burial's Untrue, simply because it's on repeat whenever I study for exams. gets me in the ZONE

My most played track in itunes is actually exactly at 50.
There's stuff I heard more often than that though.
Some records just have great replay value to me. Tame Impala and My Bloody Valentine for example.

a few weeks ago iirc, you posted how you got the wrong record from redeye but you liked the tune and ended up checking stuff from the label or something
