for real tho theres hugely waste laws on alcohol, an average glass of beer in town is the equivalent about 5-6 pounds, the cheapest in oslo is apparently 3.5 pounds. Pus shops can't sell alcohol after 8PM and lots of other bullshit. It's not for a lack of wanting to drink that's for sure.

It was like fuckin heaven when I went to London and me and my m8 could buy a bottle of shit sainsbury's white wine each for 10 pounds total

Oslo is probably the least hardcore place in norway for drinking though. Out in the countryside moonshine is big and stuff though, I'd imagine what you describe probably happens there.
