I live in Manchester city centre so it's naturally loud, first week in the flat we had a noise complaint which I kindly told the guy it wasn't us cause we have uni mid week and the loud stnuc kept is up too.

Having a mixing sesh today and we get a note through the door saying if we aren't quiet police will be involved, we've been noisey for the past 4 weeks. Still sure it's not us, and if it is I'd apologise and turn it down, I went to speak to them. Nobody is answering their door.

Any ninjas had to deal with super sensitive noise sizan before? If so what's the best plan of action?

I'm not a prick, if I'm keeping people awake I'd turn the music down but im not. For starters I haven't been here for 4 weeks to be loud lol.

I'm really sensitive about disturbing people with my noise. If you live in proximity, it is going to happen though. Know the laws just in case the police are involved. Report the time and decibel level of the noise that you were making. If the fuzz know that you are conscious, and caring about the issue, as well as staying within your legal rights, there is little they can do, unless they're stnuc, and come on, how often are police stnuc.

As far as your neighbors go, they sound shitty. Like if they won't answer their door to discuss the matter, how are you supposed to conform your behavior to their desires? It just looks like a bad situation can develop here. See above about staying within your legal limits, if you want to continue relatively unharassed.

If they weren't stnuc, you could let them know that you are aware of the issue, comply with the law in every way, point out that you hear their tv as well, but you accept it, as living in close quarters requires these kinds of sacrifices and mutual respect. But ask them when they're not around so that you can conform your noise making activities to times when they are not around, and finally, find out about their drug of their choice, from buttery Chardonnay to krokodil, and hook them up.

Yeah same, I'm a terrible sleeper so people playing loud music at 6am just isn't on.. But we try and be as reasonable as possible, we don't play loud music past 11pm and we don't play anything on a week day.

I just wrote a very sarcastic letter back and at the end put 'if you have a problem don't threaten with the cops just talk to me' and left my phone number. So we'll see. I don't expect a response lol.

You know your situation better than me - But I'd try to defuse the situation before you escalate it. Some people are just stnuc and need the escalation, though.

Keep us updated, it probably will be jokes, and keep a number of a bail bondsman in your phone. If you don't know one, pm agent, he should know a couple of guys in your area.

Basically on facebook a dickhead films themselves downing a drink and then nominates two other dickheads to do the same, then those dickheads film themselves downing a drink and the cycle continues. Some people try and do inventive things like downing a drink on a boat or in a tractor but at the end of the day it's all to make up for a lack of personality and a need to fit in.
