This is where I'm at with it. I can't really be fucked to engage, but I'm trying to hype him up until he actually drops £££s on renting an airliner.

I really fuckin hate 'internet wisdom' or what i think might as well be called 'reddit wisdom' (i don't use reddit but the impression i get is that most 'internet wisdom' comes from reddit). I hate when ppl have strong but pointless beliefs about things that they clearly got from the internet, especially when its about production stuff.

i've often wondered this and i guess im included as well. but i wonder how many of them follow their own advice

With production, I find that even bad advice made up on the spot, that convinces someone to do something is almost good advice. Fuck phasing issues.

Sequencers are still a very alienating/uncomfortable territory for some people. Like the best people. Them who it is that have boobs, for example.
