because it's a once/twice in a lifetime opportunity to be the best in the world. I'm a pretty socially conscious person, but if I was picked by my country to go and show people that I can possibly be the best in the world at my chosen sport, I'm not sure how much I'd care about social issues in the host country, certainly not enough to stay away and miss my window.

yup, pretty much. There's also the fact it's your job. You turn up and go " I aint going man" they go "ok no worries, we'll find a hundred other people who do, you'll lose all funding and sponsorship, and cos all you've done from age 10 is sport you have 4 GCSEs, enjoy working in Tescos"

I'm sure some of them feel pretty bad about it, but as a professional, you're only shooting yourself in the foot if you don't.

Is that not the ratio of body weight to fecal matter moving through your bowel, only to be pushed back in?

You seen that picture of that guy rimming himself. He's like the Usain Bolt of the self fellatio scene, broken new ground.

I just heard yesterday that you have to pay around 1000£ under the table to the hospital, when you have a kid in Russia. That's how far corruption is spread apparently. :o
