i have the nicest house atm for like 350 a month, practically in the centre overlooking the city

and now it looks like we're gonna have to go up to 400+ for a nice-ish 2 bed

for some reason everyone i know is moving to clifton for third year. had a look at two there, one shiiiiite one that cost 450 and and an average one that was like 485+....no thanks m8. house hunting is fuckry

not that u asked but i'm studying 2nd year in music and media management. wouldnt mind tbh if i studied more of the technical side as in production, audio engineering mastering etc... but it's all just business and law studies mostly. there are of course schools with those kind of audio technology degrees but i'm too lazy / scared to move somewhere else to study lol

im kinda pissed that i took my course cus i hate the technical side of things when it isnt for my own music

the other day i had to record and produce an indie song and it was so so so so shit

+ its the sorta of thing where just 'getting through' the course isnt enough like most courses, you can have the degree but unless you're actually good at audio engineering to a professional level then u aint getting a job... and unfortunately i dont care enough about it to be as good as i know others will be

whereas with business i reckon you could blag interviews alot easier

so yeah i dont like my course at all but it seems a waste not to finish it now.

i get what you mean. a degree that is mainly about practical stuff like yours kinda requires that you assimilate what u learn and become a professional, otherwise there's no point it's a bit tougher

as opposed to my degree one of our teachers actually said that if u know what you want and what you're going to do you'll get the job. networking during the school years is maybe even more important than studying in order to get employed after graduation

all that recording, producing and stuff sounds so interesting. i wouldn't care if it was the shittiest band / artist that i had to record, it would just be so exciting to do it. at least i can do my intern specializing in audio or something

ive used up all my student finance, so if i dont finish this degree i cant do another one. + ive spent like 4 years in education now, may as well do one more and have a BSc to my name, even if i dont use it

Here in Belgium we have to decide when we're twelve. That's probably the reason why my life is fucked when it comes to education. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
