i've read something that I can't remember properly but there's like a limit to how wrong the read outs can be. (which doesn't have any immediate logic behind it)

I think m8 said there could only be a discrepancy (is that a word ) of +/- 4 db

so just subtract that from your normal headroom range

Pro Tools bounces pretty much exactly what I read on the meters.

I use metering plugins for projects with clients though. Trillium LL Master Meter for example.
