i cant speak for the lp1240 but the lp120 is garbage
bought mine when i was like 17 and broke and couldnt drop the money on a pair of actual technics. like cyclopian says, theyre pretty low torque. wow and flutter is way higher on the lp120 (i think like .2% vs .025% - a difference of almost an entire order of magnitude). at times it even feels more than .2% tbh. it's workable to a certain extent but it's a pain in the ass. the only upside is whenever i play away from home on real 1200s, my mixing is stupid clean
the signal to noise ratio is also not as good with the lp120. and the biggest problem of all is probably the built in USB preamp. it can be switched off, but due to a HORRIBLY designed signal path, it ends up fucking with the sound, especially the treble response. if you want them to be usable at all you have to open them up, remove the preamp, and do a little soldering to bypass it
i think bombaman or starky should do a remix of this

footwork will never be anything other than some sidebar artistic hipster bullshit if shitty albums like that (no offense to traxman but it really isnt that good of an album *especially compared to vol 1) keep getting dickridden into outerspace just b/c of the name/label atatched to it
those arent even entry level footwork tunes ud expect to hear on some top "" lists, theyre just plain boring/stale footwork tunes
