Easy guys, just a quick heads up...

We've got the awesome DjRum (2nd Drop | Smoking Sessions | On The Edge | Mindset) and Sam KDC (Auxiliary | Veil | Samurai) down at the Hare & Hounds, Kings Heath this coming Saturday for the next Shelter event!

(Click image to go to event page)

Image

We're also running a little competition beforehand to win a signed copy of the recent Djrum Vs. 10". This is a limited edition (1 of 300!) all-white record, so it's a really beautiful record which holds equally as beautiful music! To enter via Facebook, click here and read the rules in the image description!

I'm sure a few of you are aware of DjRum by now, he's really making some interesting music across the board at the minute and stretching the boundaries of every genre he turns his hand to, on top of being one of the most talented and technical DJs in the scene. I'm so chuffed to be part of him coming to Birmingham, and I'd love for as many people to be there to witness it as possible!

Anyone who caught Sam KDC last time we brought him down the the Hare knows this guy is also incredible... expect thick atmospherics and driving percussion cutting through deep soundscapes and textures. Not one to miss, especially if you didn't make it last time!

Cheers guys, hope to see a few of you down there!

Tell me about it, gutted they clash!

To be honest though, you could catch the headliners at both with little overlap, so there's always that option!

Big up for spreading the word Burlish, I don't know why it's never occurred to me to post about Listening Sessions in here before, I'm rarely on the forums any more - just don't get the time!

The sessions have been going off, the amount of unheard talent in Birmingham and surrounding areas is really overwhelming. If you want to know more, check our website at http://www.listeningsessions.co.uk or the Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/ListeningSessionsPST

Respect to everyone who's been down in the past, it's been really good and we've got more exciting stuff in the pipeline! :D

City of Colours was THE SHIT! Birmingham was blessed :-)

The Listening Sessions stage was on fire, so much so that people were jumping in the pool haha.

There is new issue of Futurepast Zine out now, issue 8. Currently, they are only available at the Provide store in Digbeth, but will popping into the usual places this coming weekend. And some have just been sent to Piccadilly recs in mcr, and Sounds of the Universe & Honest Jon's in ldn.

This time round the zine is in a different format, it's A3 folded down to approximate A6 size.

It contains an interview with Alex Nut as we are excited to have him play at PST (Digbeth, Bham) on the 27th Sept, an article by Matt Caulder (Handsome Zacks Recs) who wrote an article in the last issue, and a couple of other bits and pieces.

Hope you enjoy.......

20th Septemeber: Futurepast Zine meets PROVIDE, Digbeth, Birmingham

Some of the Futurepast Zine/INWYK family will be taking over the music in the PROVIDE Store (http://www.provideshop.com) all day long. It starts at 11am and finishes at 6pm. It's a lil warm up session to the run up of the Futurepast Zine night where we've got Alexander Nut selecting some fine music on a fine sound system at Club PST (Digbeth) :-)

Come soak up the vibe, check the music, check the shop, and pick up a copy of the latest issue of Futurepast Zine if you haven't already (we're at issue 8 ).
