also make sure to say zomby cancelled his planned appearance
thing is, people here seem to be more clued up on the german/techno scene than the uk one. a night whose line-up was pinch + shackleton + peverelist + appleblim (not artists you see often here) for 12€ only had to be moved from the main room to the ~200-capacity second room a few months ago, and even that was not full. was not bad to be honest as it did fit the music better, but it's still kind of a shame.
have to say the paris scene didn't look great going off that recent resident advisor mini-doc thing, is there much more going on they missed out?

tbf i haven't even watched it, from what i've heard it mostly focused on concrete, which is a good party but certainly not the only thing going on. tbh it's not that bad: we got "release the groove" setting up nights inviting labels to take over, which means you get ace line-ups (eglo takeover with alex nut + floating points + fatima, tectonic takeover mentioned above, standard place takeover w/ oneman + brenmar + jon rust + reecha, etc). also got the occasion to see kode9, loefah, jon convex, faltydl, addison groove, trevino, dva, t williams, karenn, pearson sound, ben ufo, etc etc etc since january.
but these nights definitely aren't the most well-known here, if it isn't a dj playing techno (blawan, surgeon, ben ufo filled the place) it generally won't be too crowded. which again isn't a bad thing, but is a shame considering how good some of the line-ups are. other thing is that there isn't many good producers in paris atm imo, besides the clekclekboom crew who does interesting things.
still not that bad really, though it clearly doesn't compare with other capitals yet

ah ok that's cool then
they mostly focussed on the sunday boat parties, this pretentious dude with a warehouse in a banlieue and this guy who puts parties on in different venues each time
