DZ is well known for his dancefloor filling tunes, and with a new outlet for his creations in the form of “Badman Digital”, what better tunes to start off the proceedings than “The Fireman” and “Right About Now Sounds” - 2 highly sought after dubs from his “summer batch” of 2008.
The Fireman starts off with a simple 808 4/4 stomp and a jigga-led one-two march, but as quickly as Hova can declare the “party 'bout to pop!”, it is all business as usual with an extra pinch of swagger stuffed in there amidst the random yet well-timed bass twists. Built at 136bpm, this weapon is best used on a dancefloor, but has been known to be the soundtrack for a few baby-making romps as well. Here's to you, jiggaman.
The AA pays homage to the days of yore with an anthem-esque arrangement that brings back the feeling of big room jungle tunes from the ‘90s rave heyday. A seductive piano riff and some well-placed MC bubbling open up into some chuggin' mid-range call & answer glory that shows DZ has loads of huge fire left to come from him after 2008’s #1 selling digital hit of the year ‘Down’. This tune is sure to appeal to not just the new soldiers out there, but those who have been on the floor, for that moment, at that show.... HUGE!!!

AA – CIRCUS ACT
DZ’s on it again with a heavy release for Badman Digital's second offering, with no shortage of diversity to be found within each track.
Oceanic, almost underwater-esque strings give “Up & Down” a spiritual quest flava in the intro that gets flipped straight on its ass when it drops into a proper, run-the-road wobbling beast that’s heavier than an elephant walking a tight rope made out of dental floss on a Gravitron. The barbershop stabs reminiscent of early east coast hip hop give this tune a larger than life feel with a lot of room to grow, and there are enough twists & turns to warrant this beasts play for time to come.
Circus Act takes a somewhat similar approach, easing the listener in with minimal electro percussion stabs and a hint of the off-key mid-range shenaniganz that are about to proceed, and akin to a midget shooting out of a cannon (or Super Dave Osborne for those who object to the unfair treating of circus-like midget clowns) the fun comes big and clowny as fast as you can say “Big Top!” Deep bass warbles approach the brown note in this heavy petting session geared towards the sideshow bass freaks and non-believers alike! Mid-range Lo-Fi hi jinx are aplenty so grab some cotton candy, leave the parents in the basement and witness the feature show that is DZ's “Circus Act!”
With more releases like this scheduled almost into 2010, DZ is leading the front lines in the dubstep assault, and sharing enough weapons to make the fight that much more fun!
