are you fkidding mate? :D i know how to render obviously, but i myself use that option to render the whole tune when it's ready. rendering separate stems out of each track that way is a bit tedious, i'd have to solo each track and render them one at a time. is this the only way to do it?

topmo3 wrote:is it possible to render stems as mp3? when i right click on the tracks and choose render stems it doesn't even ask which format i want just bounces them out as wavs, which even packed are like 300+ mb so i can't upload them to mediafire :x
I think you can also change it somewhere in preferences.. Try looking for it

did you bother to check what I said?
I said go to the render window and change the settings to suite.
At the top of the window it has a Render pull down box.
In there you choose stems (selected tracks)
Go to output format and change to mp3.
there you go
each stem rendered as mp3

so no, I wasn`t fkidding you

I'm using the demo version of Poise as a drum sampler in reaper. Is there a way to link each pad or hit to a different mixer channer?

Hey guys,

I've been wondering about something today but I can't seem to figure it out...

I'm assigning one midi CC to various parameters on a track (vst parameters that is). Is there a way to change the range of the parameters individually, ie. not changing the midi value of the controller but setting a range for every parameter on it's own? Just like it can be done it Ableton (i believe...)

/edit

I think I might have found something but it is a bit of a work around... I could link one parameter to a CC and then link all the other parameters to the first parameter with differing strengths and stuff.. Still not REALLY what I'm looking for though since it will still limit me in terms of parameter range :(

Not yet.. I only found feature requests for this exact thing but they were way back from 2010 so I'm not sure wether it's still not possible.

Right, back with another question! :)

I don't know if any of you guys are into resampling or not, but if you are; how do you keep your project audio organised? My project folder just turns into a big pile of audio files. If I want to re-use these sounds later on, it's gonna be a bitch to track down the good ones.

Do you manually take the finished bass samples out to a different folder, what is your organisation?

Just a random bit: I highly recommend Groove3' Reaper 4 explained, especially for beginners to the program like me. Learned a lot from it that's improved my workflow and he explains a lot of powerful features in reaper that are really easy to accomplish after watching it.

Yes Jon, it is very stable.
And you can setup numerous macros to control many features as in Ableton.

Open Media browser go to project directory, right click, make folders> Bass/Leads/[vsti name] e.t.c. however you wanna do it.

Right click media item, 'apply FX to item as new take' > explode all takes in place/across tracks/crop to active take. double click Media item > Rename Item > Select which folder you want to save it in, name Item > Save.

Probably an easier way of doing it but this is how I keep things organized. The main proj dir still gets a bit messy, but if you keep things named apropriately and keep all your bounces/edited media in different sub folders all the important stuff is still easy to find, you jeust end up with a load of redundant files named 0202_646.wav and all that from bounces and depending on what the peak items on the arrange view are accessing, sometimes deleting the random things fucks up the project.

I do need to figure out a better way of doing that to be honets.

Anyone have any ideas as to why I can't get my Oxygen 25 working in Reaper? It's enabled in the preferences of course, last night it was popping up with a message saying something like it can't recognize Oxygen 25, something along those lines. It works perfectly in Ableton, but I don't like Ableton, plus my PC sucks and can't handle it.

Maybe try reinstalling the latest drivers? Also, I don't know how this works in Ableton but make sure you have it turned on before you start up Reaper. My Oxygen 25 works perfectly fine..
