Theyre made of plastic, it takes some serious fucking around to mess them up

Stacking them can crush dirt into the grooves, warp them and cause ring wear on the sleeves.You want them standing vertically as much as possible. Too much of a lean will potentially damage them or at least the sleeves

The lean in my stacks of records is very slight, probably like 10-15 degrees from the top, so I guess it'll be fine. The reason why I want it to lean is because I don't want to stack it fully straight cos it might fall and crush the records at the bottom and if it happened overnight it would be even worse.

Yeah a slight bit of lean is to be expected. I've filled my 16 square expedit to the point they can't do anything but stand straight though and that's actually really annoying. They keep getting pushed out the back by accident when I'm putting things back.
