Some UKB/Jackin House I'm working on. Only really got as far as the drop. The intro is just their for demo purposes.

Nice groove man, makes me want to start dancing like Carlton in the middle of my studio.
Enough transitions to not make it repetitive. Good work so far.

@-Boring;
Intro needs some more elements imo. Track gets a bit repetitive aswell, try adding new instruments every 8 bar or make some breaks/space.
Hats are panned well, gives a great groove to the track.

@ JUJU_MAN;
Snare seems a bit standard to me. Is it layered?
Personally I think you have too many sounds in one track, but that's just my opinion. I really dig the first synthsound tho. Really sick!
Did you sample Excision or any other artists?

Just out of curiousity, did you ever play World of Warcraft on Trollbane EU? haha
Nice track mate, vocal seems to overrule the track at the buildup. Drums are way too quiet compared to the synths aswell. Get some compression rolling over those drums to give them some extra punch in the mix and turn them up. Nice track mate!

Ez man.
Layer that snare damnit, it's begging for some more loving haha. EQ around the 200's for some max punch.
Your synthwork works nicely. Drums could be a bit higher in the mix aswell but not so much.

Intro is a bit boring tbh. Some new fast paced elements could give it the drive it needs.
Drums need some work aswell. Seem pretty standard samples from Vengeance to me.
Honestly, I would switch things up, switch up the pace because in all honesty, I think the track is a bit boring and repeptitive.

Nice intro, seems to be a bit overcompressed tho?
Nice bassdrop at the intro. Love your synths.

That snare is a bit too loud and may need a bit of reverb to fit with the atmosphere. Other then that it's quite a nice punchy snare.
Intro may be a bit too long, you could easily cut it 16 bars.
Your drop is lacking some punch indeed. I would leave some space a bar or so, or have a reversed crash build up to the drop.

Give that snare some high end man.
Nice sound combinations. Just a shame of that snare honestly.



Ok so now for mine, been working on this Buckethead Refix for a while and decided that it's time to ask the audience! haha.
Would love some feedback on groove, mixdown and overal atmosphere.
Keep in mind that the guitar is a full track and not played or recorded by me. All credits go to Buckethead.

Appreciate your input dude! I've not layered my snare has I wasn't looking for anything exciting at this stage, the drum mixdown is solely for getting a song structure down! This track is still a wip! All the sounds you hear are my own creations from various plugins and Soft synths! I know they sound very similar to excision/datsik that's because I like their style! Cheers again

@eye sic > dig it, good start, snare needs to be louder. feelin it tho.

@1stfiest badman remix is an awesome start, clean up the mixdown really feelin it tho! maybe add some shakers or different reverbs and echos on some hats and tamborines

thanks for the feedback, defo gonna do more with the intro once it makes sense for me to sort it, also i like the repetition but it does need some elements to keep it going i hear that. thanks!

@Eye-siC: Nice intro, nice track. The snare needs to be louder so it really gives this punch in the face feeling while the bass is kicking ur ears
@GV1: The groove runs nicely and doesnt feel repeative. Really makes me wanna dance
@JUJU_MAN: Damn nice tune! Really digging the snare. It might be just my headphones, but feels like theres missing a tiny amount of high end to make it more clear, dunno. But yeah, keep it going!


Ok heres my latest WIP, mixed with headphones.
The intro really needs something, but what? Any ideas are welcome.
Also i have a question, I have those synth/mid-range basses and a sub. And the sub does also have wobbles in it, but should i make the sub wobble at the same speed the synth basses do? And should i make the sub play same chords than those synths or have its own "melody"?

Thanks for the response, though! I'm getting the track mastered in a studio, and I'll keep your suggestions in mind. I'm going to compress and up the volume on the drums so they cut through the mix and turn down the vox so they're less overpowering.

-boring - stuntman-channelling sounds good, nice deep bassy and some great percussion work.
My only gripe is that the track just loops the same material.
Major possibility to work the track into something great.
If you do like the beat then you`ll need to add more atmosphere later on to add variety.

Maza1 - this isn`t my style, I`ll try to add some constructive criticism.
The intro loop plays throughout the track and just doesn`t fit through out.
I`d say as an intro it works but the rest of the track it just clashes with the vibe.
The midrange wobbles are a tad boring and lifeless, try to make them more lush and add some effect tweaks and filtering.
The beat is also std and should change more often.

Zala - Interesting track until the midrange kicks.
Nice vocal.
2:00 onwards, the track is way more effective as a dancefloor filler.
If anything the midrange needs major work to add more quality to the overall sound.
Imo, this track will work best as a 4x4 with 808 style sub kicks.

Here`s one I`m working on.
Let me know you folks think of the percussion and naturally the rest of the track.

I always make a shitload of feedback to help people out, only thing I'm asking for is some feedback on my tracks aswel so if you don't mind, I'm bumping my track once again considering everyone is skipping it for whatever reason.

hey man its a really cool tune, i think peple are skipping it cuz its so different, i think the woodblock/rimshot snare could use some softening, maybe some eq or compression, bout the only gripe i have tbh! its not far off just needs a little touchup. very southwestern united states sounding. cheers

@Cubicle: sounds great mix wise, i agree whith -boring the rim shot is a little loud. the groove is ok, maybe add a few more elements later on in the track.

@MaZa1: hats could be a lot louder. yeah generaly you would have the same notes as the mids and have them modulated at the same rate, although thats not a set rule or anything. what ever sounds good. nice work.

Cubicle - it`s a good tune, how much did you edit the buckethead guitar line?
it`s difficult to comment on the track not knowing what you edited or did in the track.
If you just added a drums to the guitar track then work on the drums more.
If you added loads of effects on the guitar line, then those are very good.
Rim shot is too prominent and as travis baker mentioned, the groove could be worked on a bit.

Previous feedback asked me to turn the highs down a bit on the drums lines.

Your track is pretty sweet sounding travis.
The sub is hitting nicely and the track itself sounds really nice and warm.
Maybe change up the drum programming a bit for some variation and add a few different elements into the mix.
But overall it`s spot-on.

thanks for the feedback btw, your drums could use a little more sheen maybe a brighter hat somewere, withought changing the vibe of the track too much.

I think it's ok actually, especially when the extra percussion comes in, but i guess more brightness couldn't hurt. I also think the sub could easily be turned down a bit. May be the reason why the perc sound less airy/bright? The rest is class brother, but i've mentioned that a few times already
