I received a new copy of the vinyl today and unfortunately it sounded the same as the original copy I got. I am sending it to Jason tomorrow so he can listen to it. As much as I am hoping it was an error in the pressing, I am already convinced that the distortions were part of the music. I loved this 12" so much and I'm sad I don't get to enjoy it as much.

the distortion really isn't unlistenable... i think it's kinda cool actually
Once you listen to the radio rip a few times then listen to the vinyl you will notice that the version on radio sounds like a different version of the track altogether. Yes it is heavily limited and therefore louder but the radio version is so clean compared to my vinyl. The vocal and some of the pads on mine sounds like they are clipping throughout, it is a shame.
Took for me to listen to this to notice how much the Massive Attack sound influenced Burial tunes. Dont know why more people didnt cop it with tunes like Tear Drop and Angel.

They did, I'm sure Burial even says it in one of his interviews.
Yea its pretty obvious. I guess people often immediately looks towards influence taken from their immediate scene/surroundings (like burial being more likely to be name dropped alongside DM/mala etc when he first broke out)...
This is going to sound heretical and blasphemous to many, but I've increased the tempo of Four Walls by 20%, and Paradise Circus by 15%, while keeping the same pitch, and Wow, what a difference! I'm loving this more than the originals, which I found just too slow and dirge-like. If only I could do without a dip in sound quality (but it's not like I have a decent sound-system or speakers or anything; just an old laptop that's always crashing and speakers that blow-out if I turn the volume up too much...)...

I converted it myself from vinyl to mp3, easy enough to do.
