Last nights RAW is ridiculously good fun as well :D

[+] Spoiler
  • Great Bryan promo to open w/ HUGE crowd reaction
  • 6-man tag between Wyatt family and Cena, Sheamus & Big E. Great pops the whole way through, Gowan & Harper look like absolute beasts.
  • Cesaro & Swagger split
  • Great Heyman promo about 'the streak'
  • Paige debuting and winning Divas
  • Alexsander Rusev singles debut, squash match but he's looking amazing
  • Main event is a D-Bry beat down by Batista & Orton ahead of a defence against HHH, Shield interfere and batter the authority
  • New Shield face gear looking remarkably like the skull mask I wore to Glasto last year

I might watch tonight, so I'm not looking in that spoiler tag. Not entirely convinced I can get away with two nights in a row of pro wrestling on the big telly though.

Post WM-Raw is always a good vibe, and this one had a proper changing-of-the-guard feel. Cena, for example, was featured in the opening match (which he lost) then not seen again for the rest of the broadcast. Focus was on Bryan, Cesaro, Shield, Wyatt Family, Paige, Rusev...felt like a really special show in the context of things :U:

Nice one.

Actually...
[+]
Cesaro winning was actually a nice touch, especially with the way they finished it. I would've liked Kofi for sentimental reasons, but Cesaro is a genuine fucking beast with a hell of a future.
Also, Bray Wyatt is my favourite new thing in WWE for years and looks JUST like a friend of mine. A Wyatt Family Vs Shield feud when it eventually happens could be great.

It really was... and it's just been made even more so with Warrior passing after getting inducted.

I was just thinking through Warrior-related Wrestlemania moments and...

Nobody that was involved in this match... Warrior, Savage, Elizabeth and Sherri.... is alive any more. That's my fucking childhood right there. :corncry:

Gonna check that out later... Googling the YouTube code led me to London's AMA on Reddit, which turned up this :

Hey Paul, you were one of my favourites when I started watching Velocity in 2004 and still are, both in and outside the ring. Thanks for doing this.
For the question, can you tell us about the anal justice JBL liked to have with the rookies?

Not sure about rookies, but I did hear about him breaking a broom stick off and introducing it to Brian Christopher's exit because BC was in the locker room bragging about raping a young girl...RUMOR HAS IT

Jokes. Had a Google on that as well, and if you type in Bradshaw Bryan Christopher it's first suggestion is "bradshaw brian christopher shower". Some highlights;
Bradshaw stripped Brian Lawler and hogtied him in the shower then got naked himself and threatened to rape him. Lawler was crying and screaming but Bradshaw let him go because it was "just a rib".
One of them involved a wrestler being tied up, thrown in the shower, and threatened with rape.

The Torch newsletter went further into it, saying the incident did happen but that there was more to the story. The wrestler who was tied up had basically been going around bragging about his exploits as a date rapist, telling stories about how he'd been slipping GHB into women's drinks and having sex with them while they were out.

The shower "hazing" was the locker room's way of letting the wrestler know that sort of thing isn't tolerated. And as mentioned, the wrestler in question was later identified by Dave Meltzer as being Brian Christopher.
I remember Tom Brandi's shoot interview, he said Bradshaw put a toothbrush up Brian Christopher's ass in the shower after hog-tying him.
Raven and The Honky Tonk Man said that the Brian Christopher one is true
Also, this;
Bradshaw pushed Blackman onto one of those baggage conveyor belts at an airport so Blackman knocked him out with one kick to the face, picked up his bag, and walked away.
Which confirms further what Bob Holly said in his book about Blackman being the most legit badass ever, and a shoe in to win Brawl For All until he got injured.

Sweet.

Hopefully he'll be back by Summerslam. Be a shame if he gets stripped of the title, main event roster is getting exposed as a bit weak. Cena has the Wyatt feud, Evolution and Shield is still going...if Bryan is out then who gets the strap in the meantime?

Also, marking out now they've signed Prince Devitt :-D

there is talk backstage of stripping it and giving it back to orton... which would just kill the company.

Giving it to a member of the Authority is perfect, IMO. Give Bryan the underdog platform to fight back against when he returns.

If they put it on Kane, who is a decent challenger for him that makes sense whilst Bryan is gone? Bryan is the only one with any real history with Kane, and if they try to force a rivalry we'd get a repeat on that retarded angle he did with Jericho in 2001 which started when Jericho spilt coffee over him.

Giving the belt to the Authority and you've got options. Ziggler has been built up well the last few weeks, defeating Henry, holding his own against Batista. He'd make sense. Same with Rollins, Ambrose at a push (though Rollins could do with a lower card title run first to prevent a Ryback repeat).

ziggler has been wasted, hes just ajobber now, like that flamenco guy.

but yes back to kane, good rivalry and hes been in the company 16 years with 1 whc title reigh (which lasted ONE FUCKING NIGHT)

We were talking about Steve Blackman yesterday, and how much we thought he was legitimately fucking hard.

Not denying that, but who does Kane feud with whilst Bryan is gone? There are no obvious choices.

He's a tae kwon do black belt and also has some grading in that eskrima stuff (the Filipino one where you smack people with sticks)
