Everyone gets pissed and takes their turn doing a decathlon.
Hammer throw and Pole vault would be a laugh.

Shots racked up ON the hurdles that you have to catch on your way through and finish before the next jump. Time penalties for spillage and breakages.
Then everyone has to do a hammer throw at the end.

I have met/spoken to very few of them but I still have a very strong opinion of them - hard, mental fuckers. You know, i've tried to look into their culture and way of life but everything I find just says 'we are hard, mental fuckers'. How much can I be blamed for this when I grew up during the cold war?
I grew up in the same era, but it's true. They're hard, mental fuckers. Their national pass times all involve being a hard, mental fucker. Putin's pretty much made himself King by getting photographed with his top off doing hard, mental fucker activities like wrestling wild animals and shooting weapons that mortals wouldn't even be able to lift. I'm sure there must be soft Russians out there, but maybe they all get put into the ballet or sent to Siberia. Actually, last time I saw a ballet the male lead was Russian and he looked fucking psychonails.
So what i'm really asking is do I need to work harder on changing my opinion of them or are my suspicions right? I mean, from Drago to thieves in law, gun toting dictators to car jackings and 9th Company, what do they have on the softer side of things? Ok, Rachmaninoff and a
few other world famous classical composers, but apart from that...

I read a great book the other year - Packing For Mars by Mary Roach where she went into a few of the experiences of various nationalities in space. Almost as you'd expect the Americans have a reputation amongst the Japanese and Russians for being a bit boring, the Japanese for being incredibly polite and the Russians for being.... HARD AND MENTAL.
There's an international agreement (not sure whether it has any basis in any sort of law) that Space is a drug/alcohol free environment at the moment, but apparently it's nigh-on impossible to get a group of Cosmonauts into space if they know they won't be able to have any Vodka whilst they're up there. So the story goes, when a US astronaut put on a Russian spacesuit in order to do a repair job on Mir as a bridge-building exercise he found a bottle of Scotch hidden in one arm and a bottle of Vodka in the other!

Well if Gravity is anything to go by, there's vodka just waiting up their for us.
Scary when you consider the entire space race was probably fueled by Russian pride and vodka.
Even scarier when you consider the space station has been up there for many years and will continue to be in space for years to come, all built by vodka fueled madmen.
