Group D+B is

I'm gunna stick an outside bet on you to win it.
Germany deserve to get to the finals, ridiculous squad. Spain can get fucked.
As ridiculous as belgium's squad is on paper, I've got a feeling they won't get through the group stage.
Got more chance than us
If they turn up they could beat anybody. Massively unlikely but Greece won the Euros so who knows.
We'll crumble because of the heat, 99% humidity first game and we've got a scouser upfront.

We're not the ones to have unrealistic expectations but LOL, if they don't make it past group
still a year to go and if you would've seen them play a year ago you wouldn't believe they could make it to worlds

Brasil Cameroon
Spain Chile
Colombia Ivory
Uruguay Italy
Ecuador France
Argentina Nigeria
Germany Ghana

It's not particularly based on logic, just more of a feeling.

No more delusional than yours.
I don't think England are great, but I don't think Italy are either.
England's last 12 games:
Won - Brazil, San Marino, Scotland, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland
Drew - Montenegro, Ireland, Brazil, Ukraine,
Lost - Chile, Germany
In the year before that, we also beat Spain, Italy and Belgium.
Italy's last 12 games:
Won - Mexico, Japan, Bulgaria, Czech Republic
Drew - Spain, Uruguay, Denmark, Armenia, Germany, Nigeria
Lost - Argentina, Brazil
Not much between that set of results imo.

There's a huge difference in how Italy and England approach a tournament like this. Italy are favourites against most teams whereas England has to impress every time. I agree with you that they have around the same potential level of skill, maybe even in individual players, but it's highly uninformed that psyche wouldn't play a huge part. Which I believe you are leaving out to an extent there Gareth.
