YESS SPAIN!!
Deserved it big time! Holland we extremely lucky not have been down to like 6 men by the end lol! De Jong's big boot karate kick! WTF!?
Also had no idea why Van Bommel was still on the pitch. Spain had a great team, players, tactics, pace and consistency. Admittedly wasn't a great fan of them from the start but have a new found respect for them after this. Much respect for South Africa being great hosts and showing great unity and passion which i hope people learn from.

Roll on Brazil 2014. :P

This is actually an idea! Would be absolutely amazing to go watch Brazil play at home.

thats what i was thinking!!! i guess ill make a thread about it when it's not four years away :P

never been to Brazil but judging from the Fifa football video games, they have a totally unique environment

Brazil is a hella large country tho, hopefully the games arent too spread out so choosing which ones to go to isnt complicated

The real reason why England were so fucked.

I found this out last night, thought I'd share it here with you guys.

Basically, the reason that England were so pants is that there was a HUGE rift in the
training camp because Steven Gerrard has gotten his missus' sister pregnant.

The FA imposed a court super-injunction about the case, which will be lifted some
time in the next month or so (which is when all of this will come out).

John Terry apparently went mental because the FA did not afford him the same leniency
through the Wayne bridge saga, and it cost him the captaincy,
and there was a rift between the Chelsea players in the squad and everyone else.

Capello didn't know how to handle the news so close to the World Cup, and all the
plans he made went to shit.

Gerrard should be on his way out of Anfield too, because when the shit hits the fan,
his image will basically be destroyed, much in the same vein as that of Terry.

nah fuck off the story about gerrards super injunction has been around since at least april. the form i heard it in was that he'd got a 16 year old pregnant and was moving to italy in the summer to escape the shitstorm. we were fucked cos we have no imagination or technique. our 'stars' only work in the context of club sides when they're supported by the crutch of skillful continental players with a bit of vision. And Wayne Rooney was a mug who didn't show up, god knows why.

*shrugs*
I heard it from a guy who works in a PR firm dealing with 200 premiership footballers.

I'll agree that England were fucking pants, but, as with France, a lot of the problems were
caused by the backroom drama, as opposed to not actually being able to play.

I mean, I want it to be true. But like I say, that rumour isn't new unless the one 3 months ago was a massive coincidence.

Not denying there never really seemed to be much of a team spirit amongst the team either. We're just not as good as people (the sun) hyped us up to be

Same for me but i think 4 years should be plenty of time...Hopefully :P, and to brush up on Portuguese aha.
I've just been checking out this link:
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisati ... tches.html
These were prices for this year's World Cup so they'd probably be subject to change for 2014. I was just checking out the Team Specific tickets as a cheaper option to buying tickets for all games.
