So I think Burial sampled that chimes in Truant from Alien.

good find, makes sense too. He was once quoted saying the radar noises from (I assume both) Alien(s) were an inspiration in his tunes as well.

i cant believe people were so quick to judge. Burials music is complex , you're not just gonna get the whole vibe off of one listen. with that said these tunes are growers for sure.

the other day i listened to them on the train at night going into NYC and it was fuckin amazing

The sound of them closing those door-grate things is a lot of fun to play around with.

Made an "Alien Kit" of various percussion hits taken from Alien once but never got round to using it on a finished tune....

Synkro's self-titled is the shit. Eh on his future garage from the little I've heard tho.

Don't watch the filenames haha. And a couple of the longer (mainly orchestral) samples I never got round to cutting up

That chime sample is also in Fostercare, and appears towards the end of the side A on the Massive Attack collab.

Love that he's used the siren sound from his first album again too.

Overall this release just is not sitting to well with me. Production lets it down alot, and it never locks into any of the ideas for long enough.

Listening to this almost everyday, and I have the same opinion. :6:
Kindred > Street Halo > Truant
IMO.

I think I could use these samples, too. :D
