Yeah, that's what I meant, you'd get a little more fucked up, by a few more records, and probably still wind up asking your parents for a little more money lol.GreenWaffle wrote:Tbh I more want the job so I don't need to keep borrowing money from my parents plus it means I'm basically free to go out more and buy stuff that I want because I don't need to ask for moneyjesslem wrote: I mean, I was just guessing, that most of your money would go to getting fucked up and buying records. And since you'll be doing that until you're at least out of uni (and depending on your parents simultaneously) then you don't need to feel bad about not having a job at your age.
At least I did/am.

Have a test for a state job scheduled tomorrow morning
Very anxious
Not so much about the actual test, but the getting there on time and all
Whatll pronably happen is ill get there on time, everything will be a breeze getting in the building and then ill know nothing on the test lol
Either way... stressful

Yeah, you've definitely got to keep your wits about you. I actually find "dodgy" areas of London feel safer than similar areas of Bristol... not entirely sure why, but I think it has a lot to do with what Ryan said... even the scary strangers are scared of strangers in London. Everyone just looks straight ahead for fear of being dragged into something that'll end up being played by Noel Clarke and Adam Deacon in a couple of years. In Bristol, especially in nuevo-granola areas like Stokes Croft, non-scary looking people are generally EXTREMELY non-scary and so I think they make 'safer' targets.Agent 47 wrote:it so small though that people stray from easton and st paulsRKM wrote:that's peak agent
but fuck nah bristol is like the safest place ever, sure if you wanna go across town and hang out in like easton you might have issues but i haven't felt threatened in two years
possible exception walking to cosies thru st pauls when all jamaica inn is standing staring at u
like montpelier is just next to st pauls so you get a lot of people from st pauls chillin round montpelier. right next to me theres this park with a basketball court that looks pretty gully most the time lol just big gangs of hood guys
stokes croft can get pretty dodgy at night too, been in a lot of situations where it could of gone bad
My brother and his wife got attacked on their way back home from a night a few years ago right outside their house on High St. 3 blokes held him down while another couple punched her in the face, knocked her out and broke her nose... they got away with under £5 IIRC.

Re: The things that pissed you off today ™ thread
hmm i think the answer is similar but not q that
probably more to do with bristol being more 'ghettoized' than london, due to ww2 bombing there's council estates most places in london and a lot in my area which would be considered 'nice', so crime is more concentrated into specific hotspots like st pauls and easton
and stokes croft would be a place where one of the bad areas connects with nice ones over services and pubs
london has it's worse areas ofc but more of an element of random luck as to how a nighttime walk can end imo
