yeah Tom, that's the reason I'm getting it. Just been using my work lappy for years but don't wanna get loads of production/ personal stuff mixed up with work tings
Specs: ordered direct from Apple store, but through an 'Apple For Education' portal (using my girlfriends Uni login details). If you know anyone in education its fucking easy and get a full 15% off which is ridiculous really. Its based on a standard spec with an upgrade on the processor (i5 to i7) and RAM (8 to 16)
RE: retina's, didn't really know myself but wanted to get something smaller (13") and the retina's have higher res (i think) to help counter the small screen size. I'd save a bit longer and go for it imo, when u dropping dough on these things anyway might as well get it right straight away

Did that with my GF's Macbook, got a Uni mate to buy it for us
