The way Radio 1 censors swearing is infuriating, absolutely ruins songs completely, be as well not playing them

Still no idea when a show's broadcast past the watershed it isn't allowed swearing but the telly is, never made sense to me.

Just no idea why it's different for radio, I mean for example, the Essential Mix is broadcast at 4am. Yet they still block out swear words, I think even words like ass are cut (in that really annoying rewind type thing they do which totally ruins the song), it should be uncensored at that time! Sometimes it's so bad I've just turned it off cos it's not worth listening too, infuriating

That's weird...I had a far few C120s that I recorded back in the day where they had a listener discretion message at the start.

I'm listening through the HudMo mix and it seems some of the songs are cut and others aren't, makes no sense
