My roommate spins. I'm on the production front more so, but I can defn mix in some dirt so we did a lil bnf with house and dub last night. If you're in TO we should collab and bounce work off each other. I like your wip. Hard shit.

@ NICORISONE - not usually my style but the vibe you got going on in untilted 74 is really doing it for me good work i digg it

@ Jakedubber - i agree with WIFE your snare needs to be more punchy so you can really feel it... abit of limiting and more work on the mixing and it will sound all good... but hey im no pro i like what your going with... maybe go for a break down then a nice build up back into a drop if your having a creative block ?

@ Nacklewicket - "demon tempa..." yeh man fits pretty well a wee break in there would make it superb :) i like

...Track im working on let me know what you think... half finished and not mixed to its finest

@RightOnTime27 Good start but you percussion definitely needs more pop
@sniperDUBB I liked the feel you had at the beginning of the song, but I feel liek it was ruined from the end bits.
@nnny amazing feel and vibe, but i feel like you (melody)? not your bass line, felt a little too repetitive or i heard it too much through the song.

Hey I'm fairly new at this, any feedback is welcomed :) This would be I guess the "drop" portion.

As in the beginning is the drop? Not much of a drop of there is nothing leading up to it. The middle looses rhythm. Try not too go to crazy with the drums. You still gotta keep a beat. If you wanna get crazy throw in some syncopated hats. Sounding pretty good so far though!

No, I mean the whole portion that you listened to is the meat and bones of the song, so no build up or ending or rest. But thank you will try to keep some things simplistic.

Around 0:25 it gets a lil messy. If you are just starting off there is nothing wrong with just sticking to a regular kick - snare - kick - snare pattern. It is the basis for all dubstep after all. I'm all for advancing the genre and throwing in your own flavour, but learning the ropes is much more important. Anyway, try to work in an intro and make the "drop" actually drop. Make some of your wobblies roll with the kick. I usually just copy and paste my kick pattern into my piano roll/sequencer for my bass synths and work off that.

@rightontime27 - Yea... we're all in this together bro. If you can't give feedback today than wait until tomorrow to post your track. Otherwise it'll just get lost in the thread. My feedback is that your drums need more presence, especially the kick.

@sniperDubb - I like what I'm hearing so far. What you got coming in at around 0:15 is solid. Throw in a bit of a break before the drop. Gives the listener an opportunity to say "oh shit... here it comes!".... and than it drops. Instead it all just kinda moves through and doesn't have the same noticeable impact (especially for first time listeners). Throw in some drums during the second build up. If you wanna stay away from the kick and snare at that part, hats do just enough of a great job to do a nice chill build up. Also, a few extra kicks before the second drop as the synths build up. Than you got a bit of a brostep thing going after the giggidy sample. I'm not 100% sold on whether it goes with the feel/melody of the track. Maybe if you introduced it sooner it wouldn't be that much of a left turn? The kick and snare sound great. The pattern on those is perfect. Good shit so far.

@ sniperDubb - I'm really liking the bassline. Very clean, crisp, dirty, etc. Sound like a lot of care was put into it. You already said it, but it can be mixed a bit better. Also, it sounds like the drums can hit a little harder. Good work!

@ T0X1K - The breakdown in the middle can use maybe a heavier bassline. The drop is really nice—really dirty and raw.

@CenturySam - The hats at the beginning can use a little reverb or something to give them more depth. I like your clap/snare. Your kick can maybe use a bump in loudness. The bassline can use a little more depth, however the melody is really good.

@ CenturySam- diggin the wobble, crank up that low end base a bit more along with the kick and you'll def get more power to the track imo.

@ Weststar- I've always been a fan of the detuned rev organ sound. Has a Martin feel to it for sure. Great tune man!

@ Eldoogle- I'm lovin the dirty wobble on this tune. Maybe layer 2 more kicks and 3 or 4 more snares to give it more power to the drops beat. Thanks for the great feedback!

@ Origins- Nice intro, lovin the dirty techy base you got going on here. Very original tune.

@ Nacklewicket- Nice beats man! Lovin your mashup for sure. Def got a great chill vibe to your tunes.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll def be using your advice to perfect these tunes! More feedback is appreciated. :z:

@sniperdub - like the first drop. somewhere between chilled and wobbly. think the build up needs something to give it more timing. the drop came as a bit of a shock to me. ha. second one is obviously a lot more wobble, but i take it thats what your going for. drums sound good, snares a bit understated compared to that kick, but i like that in some tunes, so if you want that, it sounds good.

@nacklewicket - like the reverb in the intro. sounds nice. feel the snares lacking a bit of top though. actually, it suits it once the bass comes in :) really like that little scream thing, sounds really laidback.struggling to think of things to say, it sounds really good. maybe switch up the main synth, like some auto filter thing over 16 bars or something, just to give it movement. actually! you've just done that. ha. maybe give it a melody, i dunno, i like this.

@jakedubber - safe, not my type of thing, so il try and stay away from the personal taste stuff. but the main lead is a bit muffled, like needs a bit more high mids or something. same with the vocal. and make more of the bell synth-y things in the background. like leave them out for the first however many bars of your drop then bring it in to switch it up a bit. same with the hats i reckon. tbh, it all sounds like its there, but just sounds like your mixing on something with all top and no bass. ha.

easy, if i left you out, its cos you gave no feedback or you gave shit feedback...

heres mine... dont watch the mix, getting round to that later this wk, ive just come to the point where i dont think i can add anything structurally. so maybe someone can help

@wabble - nice tune! only thoughts would be a slight bit more emphasis on the drop and maybe a little melody over
the bassline but just my opinion and other than that nice sound!

@tbunreal - what CenturySam said! its a nice tune overall but get that pre drop really buildin ya up and
dont forget to mixdown casue some levels sounded weird to me.. but just my opinion nice sounds homie!

@NICORISONE - <3.

heres a chune i started workin on yesterday might have gotten a little carried away and post drop ignore casue i still have to write a bassline... if you have any ideas let me know lol all feedback welcome and appreciated! much love dsf :)

@wabble - sick tune, i agree could perhaps use another layer over the bassline maybe?
@bainsound -- 'skin tight' IS fucking tight. i might make lower cutoff in the beginning and open it up as the song goes by to maybe give it a different feel.
@weststar - really interesting chilled back stuff man seems like you know what you're doing with your track.

mine that i made the other day, it was my first time mixing drums by bouncing to audio so im guessing they need to be beefed up and it could also use some more low end sound/sub. anyways, feeback appreciated thanks

If its finished post in the feedback thread, and post 3 feedback first, read the rules :)

@Lazure Feeling this track. Nice ambient pad there at the start, drums sound nice, come in well. Vocals are nice too. Deffo just need to get a bassline down!

@Bainsound Liking this a lot. Real chill vibe too it. Love the melody, lovely sounding instrument. Bass works well as well, its somewhat subtle. Looking forward to see where you take this. Following on SC

@tbunreal Quite like this mate. Drums sound well nice. Not sure on the bassline. The timing seems real bad to me, dosnt seem to sound right in places. Probably intentional, I just don't think it works. And the more prominent bass I think could do with a little tweaking, if I was being picky :P

Heres something new from me:

Hi all, my comments are just comments in my opinion ^^

@Tox1k: The very opening electric bits were cool, but i thought when the piano/stab sound came in it was a bit basic and ridiged and left no space between the beats to breath, before the drop maybe abit of silence even a little would make the drop more pronounced maybe even just lowering the volume on the underlying bass playing will do.
It sounds quite clean and when when that synth goes mental i was really impressed ^^
At first i didnt like it (til it went mental!!!) , im assuming that uve left it short after the drop and the tune doesnt just finish there. lookin forward to hearing the whole thing ^^ good work

@Sniper Dubbb : Really liking that intro, as previously said something before those first beats would help (for listeners to be like here it comes as for now it just appears)
That kick really sounds nice on my system, the drumroll before the main drop id change slightly as it speeds up to fast kinda (imo) ... gigidy..awesome
After the drop liking these sounds, like having some lsd and raving with my alarmclock(in a good way ) also good work

Bainsound -Anti swastica : Liked that intro, nice verb and tails on those instrument(s) . nice big kick with a crunchy layer inside. Like the groove of this really chilled. Got a really good head nod quality about it, even if it has a militant quality to it (may just be me). sorry i cant give any good constructive critisim but sounds really good and id like the finished product to mix with n chill to :) please

Curious to know what people think about these two;

@ Fbac -> [303] I really like the variation of the drum loops in the intro, and the synth sounds really cool. Maybe tune the bass just a little, it sounded slightly off for some reason, or maybe it was just slightly too much velocity? I'm really new to music so i don't really have an ear for the actual problem so to speak... I love the trippy sounds at 3 17.
Thanks for the feedback, I know the intro sounds very unfitting to the rest of the track, and I've been working on it today. I added a bassline to the intro and it seemed to even things out a lot, I just have to fine tune the note placement. As for the silence before the drop... not too sure it would work for this one but I'll give it a shot. I'm also going to try compressing the bass to make it sound beefier... at the advice of a friend... yet I'm not quite sure how to do that yet :u: gonna search the forum for tips
