Hello folks.

I've been making sub heavy techno and electro bass (not electro house= cheese) for years. I'm kicking myself for missing this sound for so long because it's a small obsesion at the moment. I spend time on the DS forum to keep up with whats going on (I'm from Waterford in Ireland) and the jokes. I'll be sticking tracks in the dubs section to check reactions.

Hi. Reppin Dubstep in New Zealand since whenever, getting some bad bwoy gigs and crowds in the last year, which makes us Kiwi pothead robot dancers v/happy. Some good local productions around, keep them ears peeled. Anyways, I'm just going to lurk and steal your information

hihi.
im jack from nottingham, have been moderatly browsing and absorbing for a few months and just had a tink about newyears and thought why not break my balls and ask eh?
this was followed buy noting of this thread so...
i know ish ed g, and mart k and corpsey from this board (through sight but ive neva chatted proper to either of ye last two) and rach and tom (if theyre on here?!)
my dubstep education has been with the birth and rise of futureproof (as is standard for many of my peers), remember a demo meeting a year and a bit ago and rach, tom, tom and lewis proposed a borrowing of cash to aid in the first nite, (isnt that nice)...have helped them out a bit with some flyering and with the girlfriend's car as an eqipment/deco transporter...
actually it was my front room we cleared after the warehouse didnt happen after the last fproof and joker rinsed it from the kitchen for a while with loads of odd randoms crowding the place out...(4 of us had to carry that system from lewis' van near gordos at 2.30 quite fucked. haha it was a task!)
so thanks to them and some enthusiastic partners the dubstep relationship has been able to develop and (flourish).
big up the ragga, and offbeat emphasised stylees but its all love
dont know if anyone reads this anyway but hey! there you go
peace and more
jack

Hola to all,
New here and new to EDM music making in general. Used to rave a lot back in '95 in Colorado area, just as jungle was hitting the scene here I got swept away by hippie culture. I'm a multi-instrumentalist and have played in bands that play jazz/funk, jam, reggae, and all in between. Currently I'm working on a live d&b'sh/dub'ish somethin' like that with nothin but an sh-101 a bunch of guitar fxboxes and a drummer.
With all of the bands I've been through and enough of typical band breakers I looked to music production via Ableton Live. After 9 months of that, I'm not into it and am looking twords hardware sequencing so that I may play sequences like an instrument (and sprinkle musings on the top) - I guess that's kind of a player's thing to move away from software? - Anyhow, to each his own to get to makin' music. Basically I'm bent on making electronic based music for performance that I can keep more improv than structure...but still figurin' it out.
Irie and here.
+Blessings+

Hi
Milo from bradford. Majorly into dubstep, the whole sound and vibe has totally captured me. I run a drum n bass and dubstep night in bradford called r:evolve and have since started buildin our soundsystem. We'r only a small night but we actively encourage and promote new and young talent, giving newer DJs the opportunity to play to a crowd. Promoting dubstep right now is wicked, seeing more and more people vibing off it is amazing.
I am producing dubstep too, check it out at
http://www.myspace.com/milodub i have been producing on-and-off for several years and not been able to find my feet but producing dubstep is like no other genre, its finally clicked and im addicted!
thanks for listening and peace!

Where can you go, to check out Dubstep outside london, I'm thinking of starting a night nearer me, a) so I can get in, b) to mix it up with the dubstepz leaders c) to spread the vibes outside the home turf.
Would any south london DJ's make it up to Near Coventry if I did a night?

Eazy, Renegatus from Bath. Heard about dubstep early last year but only got around to truly listening to it a few months ago. Riding the rhythm now, love underground hip-hop, jungle and dnb. Gotta get me some decks and vinyls now!
