This is true, words can suck you right in to thinking too highly of someone . An interviewer or blogger will be talking about some artist and the massive impact they have had on music and I'll think after "damn are they really that good ?." rather misleading at times , all of this eloquent proseReese Liar wrote:Starting to get really annoyed by the somewhat pretentious language of some of the blogs in this scene.
Don't get me wrong, I support them fully and appreciate all they've done. I just wish they would stop sounding like every tune, DJ or producer is the greatest, most profound thing ever deserving of would-be poetic, or often just absolutely nonsensical, praise.
Pretty much every review on boomkatReese Liar wrote:Starting to get really annoyed by the somewhat pretentious language of some of the blogs in this scene.

Look how pretentious dubstep fans are though. "Brostep garbage" even though it's well-produced, took a ton of time, and came out pretty good. "Instant classic" if it's somewhat roots, no matter how badly produced it is. Then of course you've got your hipsters that hate everything, no matter how good it is, if it's produced by anyone "mainstream".Reese Liar wrote:Starting to get really annoyed by the somewhat pretentious language of some of the blogs in this scene.

Bands that are indie and unsigned never get even close to the top 100 music on youtube. If someone in those kinds of bands die, no one gives a crap. If JB dies, it's the end of the world. What makes pop music worse it the fans of it. They've ruined good radio stations with that crap. I am butthurt.
I believe Zeppelin was one of the bands known for ripping lyrics and music directly from other lesser-known bands without giving credit or royalties. But everyone did it back then.noam wrote:Led Zeppelin aren't exactly Elvis Presley
they did an absolute shit tonne of original music wtf lol
See now Boomkat I understand to some degree tho, they're obviously trying to sell records since, well, they're a record store. But actual blogs etc. ...fractal wrote:fucking gives me a headache!
