Ehbes, mostly just watching match of the day and other highlights. Sorry I don't have advanced statistics before saying I don't particularly rate someone as highly as you do.
No I'd just like a better reason than well because he was signed for slightly too much at a time when Liverpool made a bunch of bad transfers he's shit

ok then stewart downing, joe allan, charlie adam, andy caroll, jermaine pennant, ryan babel, Andrea Dossena, Albert Reira, nuri sahin were all crap signings

Allen's still a work in progress but yeah the rest weren't very good and sahin was a loan iirc

no he wasn't. just before his injury he looked like he was going to be a quality player. then his leg was snapped in half. wenger played him on the wing after he recovered and he didn't look convincing. whenever hes been played in the middle hes looked quality.

joe allan has never looked anywhere near as good as ramsey

I gave you one. I've watched him mostly in highlights, but the odd full game. He doesn't stand out as anything special. I took back the "shit" remark about 20 posts back, saying he's obviously not shit as he's a prem player, but IMO he's really nothing special.

Jeez... Liverpool fans man.

We could probably list this many failed Wenger signings though.. It happens at most clubs

The odd player sure, but the grand total of wasted money must be less under Wenger's tenure than almost any other manager of a consistently Top 4 side... well, unless someone wants to argue that Ozil was a waste of money too.

I mentioned Henderson in the context of the national team though, where the point was among other things, that Hodgeson and others coaching them tend to prefer workhorsey types from smaller clubs rather than obvious talents. Except for Walcott and Chamberlain who were called up to actual tournaments prematurely.

Any other country would have tried to play two cheetah like dudes if they had had them. I think.

Walcott injury might just force Wenger into a signing in January. A lot of talk about Costa, Draxler, Mandzukic, more likely to be Berbatov...

The Ox has got fit just at the 'perfect' moment though.... bit of shuffling and you could easily see Wenger backing off again. I'm not holding out too much hope for signings tbh.

In the last two decades counting this one, juventus and liverpool have stood out as clubs that throw their money away no doubt. AC milan is showing some of that too.

But if you measure the money spent then I think real takes the cake. Probably a gilded banana cream pie.

The only question with Real is, will it be Suarez or Aguero they go after in the summer? they still lack a quality striker atm

Draxler
He is to me the most interesting new player there is. He seems to have the same kind of vision for passing as Laudrup had, if anyone remembers. Obviously not as evolved a player as Laudrup was at that age but that is rare.

They wont get either. No chance.

They should probably have moved for Lewandowski.

Benzema got his spot atm (other abbreviation :6: ).
