rickys advice is solid. try and get yourself into a habit of using FL regularly, say for an hour a day, just mucking about and seeing what you can get out of it. don't stress too much on the results.

Don't stress on the results, but do stress on trying to achieve what you want to achieve. Like if you want to do X, spend time trying to figure out how to do X. Don't be like, I'll figure out X later.

There are so many tutorials now, it is so easy. In a couple weekends, you should be pretty much up and running.

The walking will help you loosen up. Just wear some thermals or something, keep em warm.

Walking actually isn't too bad. Going down stairs is a challenge though.

Let the righteousness of the Great Leap Forward and the millions that had to wither on the vine to accomplish it fuel you up and down those stairs.

I'd suggest actively encouraging them not to celebrate christmas. I've been doing this with mine for a number of years and small progress is being made.

We don't 'really' celebrate it, my nan 8 years ago went into hospital on Christmas day and was the first day that we found out she got cancer, we lost her a few months after and Christmas hasn't really been the same for my family we have opted to work it the last 7 years but this is the first year we've all got it off work! We usually have a 'fakemas' a few days after.

Since everyone else is dirt poor and just about scrapes by month after month in my nuclear family I make a big effort to try and cheer them up.

Bought my brother every 3DS game what he has wanted whats came out in 2014..
Bought my step dad some figurines that hes into (we're a family of nerd culture).
Bought my mum a brand new kitchen cause shes been saying how hers' falling apart.

I was half-joking 'bout the presents, I honestly tell them to donate to charity in my name if they're going to do anything.

Christmas to me is just about remembering how to be a family again and celebrate the time we have with each other. Presents or not, we've always had a massive munch and sat around, played some snes 4 person bomberman and/or board games without our phones turned on or anything.

I don't really enjoy the festive side of it but I do look forward to the day.

Still though,

Things are fucking expensive this year I swear?

But I've learned to appreciate what really matters, and that's your loved ones.

LOOOOOL

Quite literally the opposite. Christian originated with the pagan holiday of saturnalia. You're an überpagan imo.

Big up Legend4ry though, nothing wrong with showing family love and you've done a good job of it. I think even I can feel some of your love coming through with that.
