Luckily I was at a house party on Sunday and the guy had his controller set up and he let me have a mix for about an hour, was a really sound bloke so I reckon he may let me borrow his... I hope so anyway otherwise I'm fucked

it's mainly that he only decided to tell me this 5 days before the gig that's pissed me off

especially as I don't really have a whole bunch of spare time to sort this out either as I'm a bit preoccupied with the fact that I'm getting married in just over 2 weeks and still have loads of stuff to do on that front

Never assume with promoters man, although you probs know this from your gigging with ya band

I hassle for the technical specs before agreeing to play tbh - been in too many of the situation you described where you either bring half the gear or have to act as a temporary sound-man for half the night

true true, it's been my mrs that has been doing all the legwork for me as she knows the promoter personally and also his english is as bad as my spanish, I wouldn't know how to ask the technical questions

I'll just ask the guy I met on Sunday to borrow his controller, he's a friend of Erika's and he said he doesn't mind lending it for house parties and stuff, not sure about if he's be happy me using for a gig but hopefully he'll be cool with it, I'll buy him some beers or something as reparations
