my eyesight is abysmal these days.

how many of you fukwits are visually impaired. ie needing them glasses?

i don't really need glasses for everyday living but people are always telling me i have bad eyesight mainly when i can't read something that's far away.

i have relatively weak (at least compared to friends' glasses i've tried) prescription glasses that i use in lectures and when i'm driving (far distances, not around town). but i probably wouldn't need them as bad if i didn't sit in the back row in every class and tbh i can drive fine without them, it's just much nicer not having to worry about not being able to read some signs.

Hopefully by the time im an old man i wont have prof farnsworth glasses because i just keep ramping up my prescription every 5 years

^ i've thought that exact same thing. after a long car ride, when i take my glasses off, my vision seems much worse than it was before putting them on. part of me thinks it's just that your eyes got used to it and now you're adjusting back to not having the lenses, but another part of me wonders if they actually make your eyesight worse because the muscles in your eyes don't have to work as hard or something like that.
