Matt Us wife looks just like a younger version of the bird from 6 Feet Under, the one that the cancer guy likes

play vinyl (bring your own needles) or cds or usb sticks. much more reliable. and fuck playing in a club without turntables, wtf.

I was playing the opening set for Skeptical in february, and when the second dj was scheduled to take over, his traktor interface / rca cables / whatever acted up and he could only use one deck. I had to call for two mates to cover his set using cds. fucking horrible. had enough records left to bridge the 10min-gap, but it was a pain in the ass nonetheless. nothing you want to happen at your own night.
Fuck that shit.

Nothing worse than having the DJ on after you dicking around plugging in his Traktor/Serato setup while you've still got a few tunes to go. Equally annoying, once had some drunk Saffa bird play before me at Fire. She was SHIT. Proper drunk (which, TBH, I've always considered a bit unprofessional if you're getting paid to play and are blind drunk), a couple of times she went off somewhere and some bloke (guessing her fella) had to do a mix to cover if she wasn't back in time.

To top it all off, I came on after her, just had my first tune cued up and was mixing in, when she decides that, as I've started touching the faders I must be ready, so she just unplugs her laptop from the back of the mixer. Whole room turns to look, as the outro/intro blend I had going on suddenly drops into 64 bars of rather empty sounding (in comparison) drums.
