hi people i'm NAW from Barcelona (Spain).
new at forum so for presenting me i'm gonna put here in the WIP thread the last tune that i had worked this morning, but first i look some of your traks there are really good production skills there!! very kinds of dubstep "sounds".
:t:

@ kaiori breath: really feeling it! lovin the neuro synth! really good work with the harmonies and composion. maybe wana hear more hihats groove. Really good tune! :e:

@streetxlite: i like a lot the harmonies of the intro stab and then when entry again in the drop its big! the drop synths are really filthy and are sounding big and good! maybe no too much clear but its really a big track. wicked! :r:

@colder, i think that you're putting a limitter on the master, you should look at the gain reduction vumeter that includes your limiter plug in:
if the gain reduction is more than 3dbs the limitation is so hard and it fails your sound.
try to put down the levels of every chanel before and then limit your master chanel only a bit!

Here i put the last tune that i had worked in it this morning,

Boywanstep - really liking the vibe going on and the sub is deep and nice... the track overall feels abit empty though... but its a wip rite would love to hear a fuller version of it :)

naw - totally not feeling those drums... solid intro! digging the "wah wah" tho especially the ones that sounds really "whiny".

heres one of my recent projects:
Soundcloud
midrange bass and a deep sub (i think) kind of boring as of now but im digging it :D
really gotten into bongos and cowbells lately...

tell me what you think! and also what can be improved production-wise

:P

hi nackle wicket thx for the review
i don't have good english level so i miss a lot of you want to mean

i understand that the drums are not good, - >
are there mechanical and without groove? or they are not sounding good eq and samples used? kick&snares or hihats&rythm? what can i do for it?

i also understand that you like the intro

but what does it means?¿??: -> "digging the "wah wah" tho especially the ones that sounds really "whiny".

the main synth of your tune is siickk i like it
and the ideas of the percusion hits are sounding good!
i dont have good speakers/monitors here i will edit after too

naw - i meant i like your synths/basslines :)
i dont know about the drums(kick and snare), they sound good and tight production wise, they just didnt feel very appealing to me...
other percussion and hihats i liked :)

Nice... Sounds near complete to that minimal vibe ur going for. I would throw in some super delayed vocal sound or some other type of ambient noise once in a while. It would make it a little more interesting.

here again!
about your tune bounds:
i like the midrangebass like the timber and cool rythm! do you route the LFO to the volume apart to the cutoff?
variavility of the rythms of you drums gives it groove and i like the percusion rythms.
do you put a subbass shoot down the kick? the lowfreq of the kick is great! and general tune eqlevels are great! ;)

i need to work more in the wah wah sound its sounding far on the mix i need to put it in front of the mix and i need to improve the sound timbre.

when you're sayin whiny is good or bad?
yes its sounding whiny like crying : The history of a man lost in unknowed planet the main wah is he crying and the other synths in the break are the aliens!! Title of the tune: "Don't know this place" LOL!!!!

keep talking good night

Hey guys. :t:

Soundcloud

Been having a problem lately... my intros sound cool but when the track drops and the bass/drums kick in together I end up with a really week sounding drop.
All the track consists of after the drop is a bog standard drum pattern and some wobbles and static sweeps. I find the wobbles intresting to listen to on their own but I recon other people will be turned off.

Anyone got any ideas of how I can keep the vibe of the track up after the drop? I've studied countless drops and overall I recon my sounds needs to be thicker.

If anyone can help that would be rate good.
Sorry for the essay..
Cheers! :e:

Add a EQ on the kick and add more Low/middle freqs and raise the volume abit, the bass itself sounds nice, maybe also try to add a drum loop ontop the drums, you could also try to add a slight of distortion on the drums, but not to much otherwise it will turn out into n4zi gabber techno

n4zi gabber techno
Too right maaan. Gunna try doing what you said.
I forgot to add that this was a totally un-mastered drop.. just a little stereowidening and no sub-line.
I like what you recon about the drum loop over the top. Quality stuff bro! :t:

@ Danny dubstep

hey guys

as ninthy says try puting a drum loop down the main drums eqing it bandpassing (cut all down 500hz and also you can cut the highs)

also you can put more cymbals with reverb to get full this freq.

and then i think you need a subbass! try puting in the midi elongated notes on the sub to keep all the time sounding the sub!!

I'm pretty sure all this does is prove how terrible you are as a producer... contrasting your piece of shit diss track with the real version just makes you look bad. Give up.

@proximas sounds ok man idk the original song but if i were u id work a bit on making the wobbles sound a bit better with some different sound design

@streetxlite i really like this one man really deep and murky i agree with other guy that its a slow build up but i think that it fits the tune well bass sounds are really good in this one too

@Haack im pretty sure i told u my feed back on it on aim but i cant remember

@Kaiori this one is good bro told u how i felt on aim

@Ponte i agree with kai that it sounds nice and im guessin this is mostly a wip but it does get a bit repetitive so just switch things up obviously

thanks all for the feed back

@boyswanstep - absolutely lovin this track mate, just put my head back and chilled the fuck out, lovin that vocal sort of pad in the back ground and the sub has a nice sound to it, only thing i picked up on was the kicks sound slightly out of time on the sort of triple fast hit, kept throwing me of, but might just be me, although i am a drummer so maybe it is out of time slightly, or at least lagging behind in timing. keep it up though mate, would love to hear it when its done.

@HAACK - Awesome vibe on this track, that bass sound is wicked. only thing id say is the higher synth sounds abit harsh, not overly so but doesn't quite fit with the rest of the tracks feel, maybe EQ so of the high end off ? not too sure, might just be personal taste but likin it so far !

@Mr Knife - quite like this track mate, kinda ambient/filth at same time, weird but im feeling it haha ! think you should switch up the drums some more and maybe add some pads/another melody cause it dragged on after a while but has lots of potential !

Posted this up lots of times but i've listened to feedback, switched some drum sounds around to better ones and EQ'd/Mixed everything on my new monitors so probably still abit rough but tell me what ya think :D

Soundcloud

thanks guys :t:
