I'm not gonna tell you what to do, but I myself would never apologize for my tastes/expression. If others don't like it, FUCK EM. If you don't like it, change it.
cause midway thru making this track I suddenly started listening to a lot of coki and jakes and enjoyed how its shuffled/2steppy instead of brosteps straight pounding (like this track used to be). at least this track is like half of each kind of percussion now

Ableton is the bee's knees. Really, I've tried everything but Logic, and Live is the one DAW to rule them all and in the darkness bind them.

thefrim-Solid production, great feel to it. only thing is the cat samples and the bell line a huge cheese factor that takes away from it, turns it into a gimmick.
nylle-kick drum didn't fit the tune, try something more organic sounding. loved the intro. the vocal sample mid way through was really clever, i enjoyed that

here is my wip, i took a break for a while, and i just started yesterday again, this is what came out. no intro no ending.

RightOnTime27 - the clap sounds kinda muddy i'd EQ it a little higher up in the mix

love that 808 sounding bass tho thats pretty sick
synth on top of it reminds me of jokerd :)!!!

the falling pitch gets a lil redundant imo.

@nylle : sick tune. i like the dubby feeling intro. nice work with the samples too.

@sirminus : the build up is very nice. I don't really like the drop though.. it sounds muddy to me.

something I started very recently. still trying to figure out a intro and a few other things with this one. :e:

@ yellow man - first track, sweet! interesting drums in the intro.... not bad for a first track.....maybe a few more fx in the inrto/build up........bring the drop a bit earlier, sounds original, ill give ya that, really not bad for a first attempt.

@ dougriley - turn the sub bass down a few DB. i like ya bass sounds, as you know the drum pattern needs a lil work, not much mind you....... try spacing out ya b lines a bit. raw and gritty add some atmosphere, keep going bro

@ the firm - Nice intro..... like the synth. phat drop!!!! fuck yeaaaa! i like it.... very Excision sounding. big broduction........nuh said

@ nnny - i like the synth at the start, big kick..... maybe a lil to loud. reminds me of the resident evil theme tune..........the intro that is !! ....hmmmm the track seems to end without a drop or any bass...... but what ya have sounds good keep it going.....

Here is my track, i have not got close to finishing any thing now for nearly 10 months. and guess what i stopped smoking 10 months ago?? so tonight i had a big fucking smoke and started this track....it still need heaps of work!! ......any feedback is good feedback

@grime- thanks for the tips, will check them out.
@nylle - Really really digging this cut.. I second the comment about the kick.. I'd love to hear this track with a heavy club kick and maybe a little more aggressive snare/clap with a pinch more reverb. It just feels like that bassline is wayyyy to dirty to have such a clean kick and snare combo.
WIP - Feedback would be appreciated

@chemical I actually quite like it, its very well done, especially for a first! Only thing I'm not so keen on is the formant bass, but thats a personal thing. Keep it up man :D

Heres an update on the last one I posted:
Soundcloud

Not sure where to go with this one, not sure where to add the bass etc.
Really stuck, I like what I have so far, so minds a blank right now. Dosnt help ive only been producing a few months, still to finish a track :D
Help would be much loved :D

EDIT:

Added sub bass, shitty headphones tho and speaking, so not too sure how its sounding. Let me know!
Soundcloud

EDIT again...
Just burned to a CD to check it out, and cant hear the sub bass or drums as much as I can on the headphones, its nearly non-existant. Sigh.
I really need some monitors don't I :D

@nnny: Yo, really like the chilled piano but what you need to do is work on your drums/bassline. First your snares seem to be offtimed and they seem as if they hit later then when they should. Also maybe throw in some subtle hi hats if you want and experiment. Needs more of a punch. Layer your kicks/snares more and I feel that the snare doesn't really suit the song too well but all in all nice :)
:m:
@chemical: Yo, liked both drops but also I think you should change your drums around a bit on the second drop to make it more punchy and not as slow. Great for a first production :)
:m:
@sirminus: Yo, liked the lead most but I would layer a snare in there with the clap and put a touch of reverb on once it drops and sidechain the buildup (rising pitch sample.) Also the drop doesn't work very well because it doesn't have much tension when it breaks. Maybe try a drum beat with a hi/low cut slowly getting faster. Overall it would easily be fixed up. Reminds me a bit of bassnecter and I enjoyed it :)
:m:

Don't have a song yet to ask for criticism but soon I will post on maybe without my 3 reviews as I did it now :)

@nnny - Can't really hear the drums or bass at all on my moniters... Liking the piano and ambient vibes though. Also the snare needs more snap. Maybe eq it or layer with another snare...
@chemical - Really loving the end part... flows nicecly. I don't like the metally noise right before the drop, seems out of place IMO. Definitely unique with the slower formant bass. Liking it so far.
@sirminus - Feels like the intro is a bit long/repetitive.. I would add some break-ups with silence to make it interesting... After the bass drop it feels like a completely different song though. Liking the bass a lot... It gets pretty epic at 2.45. Keep it up.

Really can't seem to make anything sound good... Lacking motivation to even attempt to finish...

Soundcloud

EDIT: BTW Soundcloud fucked up my bass so its clipping alot throughout.. 320 is available for download :/
