Aluminum

We are living in the Aluminum Age

Titanium is threatening to take the title because...
Not only is it as abundant and lightweight - but it has superior strength...

The reason it will fail is because it is an incredible SOB to process...
You can only buy it by the metric ton and it comes in a giant ingot.


Now the reason we haven't had Aluminum earlier, despite it being one of the most abundant materials on earth...
Is because of the processing, similar to titanium...It has to be smelt under extreme heat AND pressure at the same time...
So - we had to have steel and corresponding technologies - before we could extract aluminum...

..making it unique to our age - AND - we are using the hell out of it...

Airplanes and Coca-Cola baby....

the build quality of stone island recently is very poor.
