new one, totally new style for me, think Breakage-Rain, except with Youngbloodz(from 85 Billy Dee Interlude, ATL, USA, 1999)vocals instead of Robert Plant. Oh, and except I'm not Breakage, or anywhere near that level of producer!! Big up to all the listeners for your feedback!!

@LHD - nice and chill. Maybe I'd change the snare...

@alvin18. I'm lovin the tune, but that vocal sample is not good imo. totally does not fit the feel of the tune. I would completely remove that "get bust sample". I love the sounds though, melody is good, bass is good, subs are hitting, the arrangement is good as far as I can tell. Get rid of that vocal sample and replace with a softer vocal sample if need some samples hit me up, cuz I make pretty good diy acapellas and gots lots of vocals layin around. I think you could have a killer tune here!!
aim me for vocals:lhddubz

Thanks for the tip LHD, considered

I don't use aim, but if you have something specific in mind then PM.
Have to overlook this vocal thing, my brother told me the same as you

And when you finish yours, I'd listen again:)

i think the woobble is narsty and the actual notes and riddim are awesome, maybe just mixdown better and i would like this tune for sure! keep going man

maybe chop the guitar sample into more staccato pieces when the wobble is dropping

Real nice this tune. Can;t really fault on it, apart from the piano. I feel as though during the break, I'd like to hear a bit more melody. Use it to take the listener on a journey if you know what I mean.

Here's a tune I've just been playing about with. It hasn;t got a proper drum beat yet, just something written to keep a tempo in my head (metronomes piss me off!) and the intros and breaks etc need to be written, just wanted to get peoples idea's on what they think so far. Not sure if the melodies play around too much...

Midnight Sonata.mp3 - 2.14MB

Cheers!

Prime|Evil, yeah I know what you mean, it was next thing I planned

As to your track, yes there was muuuch more melody. It can be cool I think, but in places the bass and piano does not fit, I mean some wrong notes or too detuned/modulated bass...Need a proper drums also :) Cool

Yeah, I sat this afternoon trying to sort some of the bassline, so I think its some of the piano notes that need to be twiddled with. And yeah, I know what you mean, but I cant help to write so much sometimes!! You should have heard the 1st draft :s

And yes, def drums, they were used merely as a metronome! Seeef, thanks!!

Sup dudes
New here - firsty contribution...
thought itd be best to show you what im working on (been workin on) RAAAH!

My first stabs at dubstep came from dabbling in DnB with a mate, in order to learn how to make my own synth noises (using Zeta) - wows, yois, womps, etc... then I heard some dubstep and thought it suited my previous attempts at getting into prog breaks and IDM.

Anyhoo, got these two nuggets in the gold mine:
Bob The Aunty [ no presets or premade shizzle (apart from intro loop by Bonobo ) - not strictly dubstep, but its not far off ) ]
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... ID=7617111

Wobble This [ just started on this badboi - needs a lot of work on the beat (i kno) and the sub just isnt punchy enough - i am proud of the 'wobbles' so far tho ]

Appreciate all feedback (or even some collab work if anyone is interested)

@bugsky, tune sounding pretty good man, not lovin the vocal samples that much. wobbles are soundin pretty good though, melodic synth lines very nice, you may get more out of it if you automate the wobbles a bit though and switch up the rotation some. good work!

bugky, really liking these sounds. Especially drums/percussion. I can hear some vocal cut ups as well which, in my opinion, would sound better a bit louder in the mix. But that's just my preference.

I like where this going. Nice drums. so are you gonna add a wobble> I think a straight dub sine bass would sound pretty sweet, tahter than a full-on wobble
