Stepping into the fire
Nice documentary about a guy who went from being one of the best stock brokers in America at one point , earning a shit ton of money, but living an unhappy life, to eventually dedicating his life to spreading awareness and healing via Ayahuasca ceromonies in Peru by digging into his life's savings to build a place to do this as well as sponsoring and funding those who can't afford it.
It's interesting to see the depth and full spectrum of character development of him aswell as his freinds and family who all had a somewhat negative and skeptic attitude to begin with. Especially his wife who really has a noticeable shift of perspective afterwards .Also shows the "before's and afters" of people going there to treat addiction, depression aswell as a cancer patient who knew the plant medicine would teach him how to heal himself, and develop a deeper understanding of the process of life and death.

I enjoyed Captain America cos it didn't self-reference in that wink-wink way, so I could laugh freely.
Tree of Life was eventually white-anted by the director's need to prescribe meaning but it was a fascinating portrayl of a young male's internalization of mundane events.

Zatoichi meets Yojimbo

Yeah, the blind swordsman AND Toshirô Mifune. Can't really go wrong.
If you were ever in doubt of Mifune's acting versatility, then give this a go. He's not just your average Samurai/Ronin badman in this. Still a badman though - that goes without saying!
