Working til 5 on NYE? Damn, that sucks. I'm not planning to be working/concious past 12pm.

Yeah I got dealt the short straw in regards to who is on the lates.

I don't drink so I am going to be concious the whole way through from the old year to the new year. Cause I don't drink (I smoke) I always have a celebratory cigar at midnight :D: . A proper fat cuban one, not one of those knock off ones you get in packs at your local garage.

Same as, I've still got a few left from the ones we bought back from Cuba in April. Might have to break out one for NYE :m:

What an apt thread for this forum!

Completely agree and sympathise with any fellow music makers. I hate being in work thinking about what I ‘could’ be making.

I think the best thing you can hope for is just get as much dreaducation in as possible before your boss notices over your PC monitor.

Personally I have been reading the highly useful (actually probably one of the best threads on this forum, if not THE best) EQ thread minimized in the corner for privacy.

I think part of the reason it’s so frustrating is when you get home from work, unless you start straight away when you get in from work (which NO-ONE wants, you want to sit down and have a cuppa/dinner/smoke etc) you can’t ever work as long as you like to at weekends, as normally I work from like 11pm through till anything around 7/8am and sleep through till the afternoon. I mean you try doing that sort of thing and going straight into work, well, you wouldn’t have a job to go to.

I don’t make Dubstep but this forum is probably the best part of dsf, forreal..

Install Audacity on your work machine if you can, that way at least you can chop samples.

I would install something like Audacity at work, but they are properly locked down on what employees can install here and you need persmision etc before you can install any software, and it has to be work related. So I just need to convince them that I need Audacity for me to complete my work. I work in Payments btw, so going to be a hard one to swing. -q-

Any ideas are more than welcome. :4:

nice idea, but I dont make a habit of chopping many samples, I’ve got thousands of one hits tbh + about 6 plugsounds sample folders. One thing I do need to increase my stockpile of is 120-128bpm loops, for the house and techno I’ve been making.

To be hones though I am enjoying reading the EQ thread

That might work tbf, will give that go. Next problem though is to try and find time to actually use it. Department I work in is pretty busy all day. Plus my manager would flip his lid if i was chopping up samples etc rather than processing payments for wealthy corrupted business fucks .......arrggghh fuck the man. :middlefinger:

It's 10, been in school for an hour, already sat an exam I turned up late to, whole time, humming a tune I started last night.
