hey this is my first post so be gentle :P

@alexvont. liking the structure and placement of your sounds, but your main bass seems to be a bit muddy

two tracks i'm working on at the moment (other one is in my sig) focusing more on reese basses at the moment but let me know what you think.

@sirminus - digging the drop! i think the drums could use more presence though.
@darkdubz - i think the high pitched wobble that comes in every here and then is a tad bit loud
@RightOnTime27 - i feel the mix lacks energy. i like the direction though

this is an intro for an EP i'm working on; its still a demo and i'll be adjusting i notice it's mistakes. any feedback appreciated; this is my second dubstep attempt

@ Partial- I love the drums and melody in Mythic, I do feel like the drums seem a little quiet and dry, but other than that, very original sounds man, I dig it seems a lot like theme music to some kind of action something or other, dunno why, good sounds though, maybe cut some of your highs and add some more lows
Bulletproof- again I like your drums, Maybe lower the hat, epic sounds man, seems dissonant to me, maybe look at your notes a bit, I dig your sounds though, and that sample is nice, good editing, keep it up man!

I posted this earlier but it got swamped, and I changed it anyway, So again here it is, I realize my s's sound like f's but I didn't have an s sample to work with so it's about as good as it gets.
Started it as a joke, but I think it's coming out pretty strong.
Feedback returned and stuff, sorry if it's not immediate though I'm very sleepy.

nnny-didn't really think the different parts of the tune gelled. Drums lacked movement or energy, also center the kick. the sub felt super weak maybe try just a sine? ive never really enjoyed pianos in dubstep but that may be a personal thing.

alexvont-ya definitely listen to a mix to get some motivation. the eq is super muddy, and the different synths you use don't really mesh rhythmically.

I'm feelin good about this track, would appreciate any and all feedback

- kes es: only thing i can think of is maybe eq a little bit of the low end of your snare out of the mix if you want. track is awesome though. especially the intro and the robot sampling.

- voodeedoo: duuude what the hell if that's just the intro the rest of your EP must RIDICULOUS that was so awesome!! love the violin samples at :58 this is more than reasonable imo

- partial: i agree with kes -es on the drums. a little dry. could probably be eqd higher. really cool idea tho. that reese is awesome. i think i hear some kind of sweep up into that second drop around 1:30. couldmake it louder or (if there isnt one and im just crazy) put one in possibly to make that drop even heavier. just my 2 cents im a noob at this stuff still (:

- colite: still digging this. that synth reminded me of joker. think i said that already. i would try to make the clap sound a little less muddy.

i post a lot of works in progress here but uh this one im working on......im really starting to like. also going with the reese idea :D!

@Voodeedoo damn good man, really just go and make sure everything is EQd to sound how you like it... no complaints..something you can try is to throw a little reverb on the snyths just a hair to see how that sounds. i personally find that nice reverbd snyths sounds extra nice. cant hurt to try it out

@Kes-Es like everything few EQn here and there samples sound cool does sound like "F" but why dont you just make your own sample and look up how to make it "robotic", not too hard but nothing to worry to much about. over all nice track man keep at it.

@RightOnTime27 nice intro to be honest im not really feeling the snyth its a little to to high for my taste (but if you like it then thats all that really matters) you have good builds the "yeah" over all keep it up man.

@nylle really diggn the feel. nice effects going on.. no complaints really, if it makes you happy and you personally are satisfied with it and can listen to it over and over again then other than fine fine details like going over and making sure everything is EQd just the way you like it... then its done. imo i few more change ups would be nice i find that with myself making change ups is the hardest for me sometimes with the more chill change ups are really nessesary because they put you in a trance. Cant hurt to try and see what you can come up with and push yourself.

I do relize a new thread will be up soon but i though i might as well throw down my wip now aswell....i took a small break from working on tunes to regain my creative juices and finally got back to my work.
My feeligns on it....im a little bored of the intro piano, i was thinking of changing it to how it is at 1.19 but i think it would get to repetitive. i do feel the drums need a slight change somewhere but not sure how to accomplish that just yet. I also just cut the song rather short because thats where my writers block is... my build before my drop i like somewhat.. i like the "robotic" sounds but i want to be somewhat original. any suggestions would be great thanks (my sig is what it was before )

sorry missed that
sounds better but like you say, not perfect. are you sure the problem is with soundcloud, maybe your having a problem at the mastering stage?

@kes es: really like how dynamic your wobbles are, love the stabs/hits that come in every so often too. i'd suggest doing something with the robot voice. sounds slightly gimmicky and don't think it brings that much, the track can probably survive without it.
excellent stuff though.

@badboybastian: really like the sample, but i think the bass you use at the start is intrusive to the original track, think it could do with coming down a bit, watch the pitch too.. doesn't always fit with the key of the song. the slower wobble that comes in around 1:50 works much better.
quality idea though. really like the chopping editing tricks going on though, and all the percussive sounds kicking around. good stuff.

I'll be hitting soundclouds in a moment, as always, and any and all feedback will be returned eventually. Soundcloud caused a little bit more low end mud, forgive that.
Enjoy.

Oh I figured out with headphones it was actually pretty muddy in my DAW. The downsampling isn't helping it either. Just got to work on mastering a bit more >:/ Thanks man!
And for your tune, Mythic, I'm really liking the atmosphere and drums. The reese thats in the intro is a bit harsh IMO. For Bulletproof, I don't really have much productive feedback because it sounds bomb as hell. I'm lovin' the synth work and drums and the bass fits it nicely. :W:

#Kes-Es

Digging those bells and sounds in the intro. mixdown seems really tight and yea those strings are nice :) the lead you got sounds fat.. but a bit clippy.. maybe you want it that way? but yea I'd definatly polish that sound a little bit! the whole track is a bit creepy in a way and I like it! really fun to hear different music :) cheeers

#BadboyBastian3b

fucking chill intro... I just love it. epic sample!! loving the LP sounds. loving the atmos in the drop and bass is sick.... but FFS haha you just made me lose my boner at 1:08... it just doesnt fit at all... just sounds very lame tbh. drop at 3.22 is pro made and I dig the sounds... but as said before... it just doesnt fit! please make a version without it haha! I hope it helps.

#kidstrange

not my cup of tea! seems well mixed and so... digging the cymbals especially! drums are nice. cool synthesized sounds. wow!! btw 0.50 was very cool! haha big up

#RightOnTime

nice koansound feel in the track! the melody is mediocre.. and the synth has to be fatter! cheers :)

Over to my remix of Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love.
Dubstep/breakbeat/glitch/experimental song... quite happy with it. there is aa beepy sound in the background and itäs the soundcloud which isnt to friendly with me...
feel free to download! :)
