i would be heaps keen to play, i play on a bunch of different servers.. never at night (yet) and generally no more than 30 players (again until i feel more confident)... i imagine connecting to any of the anz or nz servers would be pointless for most here, perhaps we can find a mutual us server? the seattle ones seem to work best for me.. i get auto-kicked from all the uk servers cause of high ping

i can't wait to start playing at night.. main problem is convincing friends to join.. i bet it's a hell of a lot safer if you know what you're doing.. going to find a more permanent server once there's reason to (tents/vehicles/camps)

Been playing way too much of this. Had every vehicle except a helicopter and a GAZ. Raided about 25 camps so far and killed about 15 people but only a few bandits :(
On nearly 600 zombie kills with my current character, day 6 or something crazy.

My pro tip is fuck every town/airfield/populated area off unless you're with a 3+ member crew of people who know what they're doing. The best way to get good gear is to scour the north edge of the map for people's hidden camps and vehicles, or head to the fields around Stary and look for helicopter crashes. Had about 7 FN FALs with NVG scopes so far. Also, the M16 with the M203 launcher is absolutely badman. You can fuck up zombies/survivors with it from looooooong range, the blast radius is big!

If anyone wants to test, you can normally find me in IRE2 Alpha Mactire fucking people up at the NE airfield.

That gun is a fucking beast but DO NOT fire it unless you are 100% sure you can handle the aftermath. It's as loud, or possibly even louder than the Enfield!
Definitely keep hold of it though, there's shit loads of ammo for it and if you've got an M14/DMR/FN FAL/AS50 as well you've got all bases covered.
What server/s are you normally on wiggle? I've got you on steam but never seem to be playing at the same time as you.

Just try downloading the latest version of the mod off the site.

@ idontreallygiveashit

you go to the dayzmod.com homepage, click download alpha then go to the nearest host. Download the latest torrent of all the files you need. Then go to the folder where the dayz mod files are and overwrite them (i think the default place is c:/program files/steam/steamapps/common/Arma 2 operation arrowhead/@Dayz/Addons)

And at other people...i fucking died. was lame. Spent 3 hours (3 fucking hours!!!) running around constantly, just looking for any fucking animal. Eventually my hunger started to flash and i had no choice but head for the city nearby and look for any food at all. Found my way in and there were literally no enterable buildings!! Was so lame. Ended up picking up like 3 zombies, and went to lure them into a building to kill them easier, one of them came through the fucking wall next to the door, and managed to 1 hit knock me out before i had a chance to shoot. Eaten in seconds. Lame.

Ill start logging in now though, play probably most evening at like 1am onwards (finish work at 1)
