Dope movie by French director Jean Limosin. Beat Takeshi has a random Yakuza part in this movie.

I saw this posted before on here, but I would like to recommend it again. Coen Brothers are simply brilliant. I knew No Country For Old Men was good, but after watching Blood Simple, made me appreciate these guys even more. Currently on utorrent is Miller's Crossing

Watched this last night. Not sure I've ever felt less tough. Can't help thinking the gambling's keeping it going as much as anything, though. If the fight with Big Joe Joyce hadn't been so close to the end I might've ended up turning it off... that made my stomach churn for some reason. I guess Joe was at the end of his 'career', but he didn't strike me as a boxer... a fighter, most definitely... he looked like he just enjoyed hurting people. Nasty..
James Quinn McDonagh seemed like a 'proper' boxer that'd been dealing with bullies his whole life and seeing them off... too much pride, too little sense and too many nice Christmasses paid for by the other lot to just move the fuck away. Makes me wonder whether he went back to it? Michael tho... fucking hell. Psycho...

One of the best scenes ever.
Fassbender is a bad man.

Visuals and audio are so on point, story is a bit weak but the latter makes up for it.. Especially the chemical brothers soundtrack.

Was dragged along to this last night, Mila Kunis's ass makes up for any negative aspects of the film!

Oh definitely...I actually CAUGHT myself thinking 5, 10 minutes into the scene that holy shit they all memorized all this and it's all done in one take. Can't wait for McQueen's and Fassbender's new collab "Shame" it's been gettin great reviews at TIFF

Saw this back in 08. Definitely good. It goes into not only abstract concepts, but really deep philosophies. It challenges perceptions and realities we all possess, thinking we understand everything when we don't.
a good companion piece to this film would be - preferably if you read the book before the film is....

Source Code, its sort of a groundhog day/inception mash up, sci-fi way of repeating history to change paths of the future. Not amazing but pretty good.
By the same director as Moon- which is really good.
