i was 13 when i discovered dubstep too, 5 years of watching the best years slip away was heart wrenching. i feel your pain. i had a lucky break when coachella 2011 had an amazing dubstep lineup (and all ages), but up till then i never had the opportunity to hear any of my favorite tunes on a rig. knowing ive missed out on hearing so many tunes, so many dubs... even just missing the state of the scene when it was a little more tight knit, more low key, more... special?

just realized we booked fuckin dubba jonny (not as the headliner tho, thank god) tomorrow night.

i will try to report back with the hilariousness that should ensue

Yeah well Mala and Kode9 are coming to an all ages thing in Amsterdam this weekend called the pitch festival, just my luck I miss it
I'm hoping they come back next year, but it still won't be the same atmosphere as nights like System - I can only hope that these producers will stay strong for another 4 years

they'll still be there in the future, probably still makin good tunes... but it'll be different. that's the shit that kills me. i fell in love with a particular sound and it passed by me

there'll be something else though eventually... hopefully

But at least you're old enough now (I think?) and the scene is still awesome IMO

yee 18, but... yeah, it's awesome, but nothing does it for me as much as shit from 2004-2007... i've always been into "bass" music (cousin got me into dnb and jungle when i was 7/8 years old), but nothing makes me feel the way that era's stuff does.

I was going to DMZ Leeds from the age of 15

Then I got to 18 and realised theirs plenty of amazing things to go see not just dubstep
