Dub Phizix plays a load of fun non dnb

Rum Baba - Stop Talk
Baby Cham - Badness

type stuff

he was too sick in the Moat at Outlook, one of the highlights for me

yeah them at moat was decent. but I think a lot of credit should go to Skeppy aswell. one could immediately tell who was on the controls, both have very different mixing styles.
big up MC Fokuz ruining Optiv & BTKs set afterwards.

I'm not familiar with the tune you're on about, those two are just tunes that I have that are the same vibe to what I hear Dub Phizix playing

Free planet tho, if you get a kick out of doing that every 3-5mins for 6 hours of a night more power to you
well also keep in mind that there aren't many good dubstep/bass nights around here. i've been to 6-7 so far in 2014, not counting nights where me or my friends open with a deep set but the headiner(s) are shitty edm. that's less than 1 per month. so it's not like i can just go see mala again next week. i remember next to nothing from most of those nights.

also it was a 2 hour set. they can barely afford one headliner, let alone 3+ (usually). i wouldn't write down tunes from local openers, just the big headliners.

fair play to all you who don't like the idea - I'm not trying to convince you to do it. it just seemed like a good idea to me. wish dsf would try to live and let live a bit more, seems like kind of a ridiculous thing to argue about. was expecting more discussion on the actual tunes mala dropped than about using phones in a club.....

you should just stand there and film the whole set on your phone so you never forget it! <3 and then dance to the recording in your room, you got good laptop speakers? skank out to anti war dub m8

yeah, the amount of times i've seen DJs post pics of themselves in DUbai airport... if only they could stay for the night, we were lucky with Dave Owen and Calculon (sick night btw!), they were here for 1 night inbetween Hong Kong and Turkey or something, a mate of mine found out and gave them a gig and it was mad.

it was nice, short notice, so the night wasn't very busy but those two are great, really energetic guys who played amazing sets, I remember arguing with Dave about music, he was saying that all music is technically hip hop, he had a good justification but I was wasted and can't remember what it was, good times

this is gonna sound harsh but only because my english isn't good enough to make it sound civil. sorry.

why should we discuss an incomplete setlist? it's not like we could listen back to the audio, and none of the tunes are exactly surprising. and even if - listening to a recording will never come close to the actual experience of having been there. what kind of discussion were you expecting? what is there to discuss?

on the other hand, dsf seems a good and natural place to talk about rave and club culture. whilst the very idea of using a phone in a dance (and even more so since apparently there aren't a lot of nights at your end) seems weird to me, you and jess are much more relaxed towards this topic. I somewhat tried to see your point, but I still fail to understand why anybody would rather type shit into his phone than stand at the back and vibe every single second of the night. I don't want to sound patronising or condescending, and I'm not condemning anyone - just sharing my point of view.
